Some people just don't get it
This story is wrong on so many levels.
1. The reporter thinks it is lack of affirmative action programs that has caused the riots in France. In reality, it is the fact that France is 20 years ahead of us in their perfection of killing the economy. I'm talking about high taxes and unbelievable regulations and burdens placed on business. It's coming here too. This is the other lesson we need to learn from this story. If state and federal government keeps making business leave the state or country...then guess what, more companies will move somewhere else. It happens in the North/North East right now. Unions want too much, instead of compromise and saved jobs....companies simply move somewhere else, and then there are no jobs for those union workers. We put so many restraints on our economy...luckily we have not become France already.
2. This whole story is about Muslims attacking the West......PERIOD. This is lesson number two we better learn from....They will destroy any part of Western civilization they can.
Of course, some in this country can't learn from history, so I don't expect them to learn from the present either. The Right needs to keep fighting the slow shift of American into useless European nations. It is very clear and obvious to see what years of socialism has done to them...now we are seeing it in a way that is so clear, I thought even a liberal could figure it out...based on this story it looks like I am wrong.

I have heard it said and actually beleive, that France has allowed people of all races to move in and France would beginning handing out all the social programs their citizens were awarded without assimilation.
They allowed the immigrants to keep their own culture and receive the benefits of being a French citizen. Sound familiar? It happens here today.
And what is happening in France is only the beginning. The Netherlands, Germany, Great Britain and other Western countries now are going through similar experiences. It is on the way to being bad.
I agree with Craig. What France is demonstrating is that multiculturalism doesn't work so well. I read somewhere today that they're an estimated 20 years ahead of us along the social utopia path. I shudder to think what will happen here if we follow them. The truly scary thing is that there ARE people who believe that with just a few more government programs, a few more "diversity" lectures, all would be well. Seriously, it frightens me, because when you have an enemy that you KNOW looks upon surrender and appeasement as weakness and invitation to destroy, there's something to be said for not giving them the rope with which to hang you.

Craig is right. Mike M explains it perfectly. It is scary. Scarier yet is that we actually have to explain the obvious to brain dead liberals.
Rhyno, just try to KISS (keep it simple stupid). You're coming across as befuddled, in your attempt to rationalize the irrational.
