Council backs November vote on war
Milwaukee aldermen voted Tuesday to put a referendum on the Iraq war on the ballot in November
Does the Milwaukee County board have any say in what happens in Iraq?
Is that part of their job description?
What will happen after this vote?
Why don't they have referendums on things that actually can be dealt with by local politicians such as:
1. Voter ID's
2. Definition of marriage
3. Tax payer bill of rights
4. Property tax freeze
These are all things that a vast majority of people in the state of Wisconsin want done, but do not get done....instead we get to vote on if we believe troops should run away from Iraq....
Why do we get no action on things that CAN be done....where is the disconnect?
I wonder if the people in Iraq have an stupid questions like this on their ballots....the ballots they are filling out right now...right now in (what liberals want you to believe) is a failed and lost country.

Wisconsin is a hotbed of muddled marxist thinking. I'm not sure why. Many a liberal blog I've visited and they often call Wisconsin home.
It's the Area 51 of liberal musings.
The war issue is out of their realm. And I doubt if it is part of their job description. So aren't they really wasting taxpayer money when they put an item like this on their agenda? No doubt it is in the hopes that they will gain some ammo against Bush and the war. Therefore, they are using taxpayer money for their own political agenda, and not for the good of the community. That's illegal and sets them up to be sued by anyone brave enough to take them on.
