Child Abuse Case "Broke The Hearts" Of Investigators

The search for three missing children uncovered a horrible case of child abuse, according to Milwaukee police, who said it was so bad that it "broke the hearts" of even seasoned investigators. A 35-year old woman is in custody after she reported three of her children missing late Thursday night. Officers found the twin nine-year-old boys and their six-year-old brother a short time later, holed up inside an abandoned house near N. 35th and Brown Streets, not far from their own home.
The children told officers they frequently used the building as a "safe house" to escape abuse at the hands of their mother.
"It simply broke the hearts of everybody in the department when we learned that these little children had to create for themselves an abandoned house as a safe place because their own home was an unsafe place," said police spokeswoman Anne E. Schwartz. Conditions inside the boarded up home were deplorable, she said. Officers found trash and feces scattered throughout. It had no heat or electricity. Schwartz said the "safe house" had been used by several children in the family to escape the beatings from their mother. The two nine-year-old boys had taken their six-year-old brother there so they could protect him. An older child led police to the abandoned home.
Investigators believe the three boys found there had been beaten with electrical cords, broomsticks, belts and their mother's fists. They had cuts and other marks on their faces, backs and buttocks. They told officers they had endured several years of such beatings.
The woman in the case has a total of 14 children, ages 3 to 20, and is pregnant with her 15th child. The three boys found in the "safe house," and four of their brothers and sisters, were removed from their mother's home by the Milwaukee Bureau of Child Welfare. Six of her other children had been taken away some time ago.
Schwartz would not reveal the name of the woman or the address of the home where she allegedly committed the abuse, in order to protect the identities of the children. She said investigators would seek felony child abuse charges.

There are people like this all over the US. What are we supposed to do about it? Do we give her more money to get back on her feet? Do we force her to get her tubes tied? What? The problem is there are plenty of people living in this country who have no idea what it means to be a part of society, and really don't know what it means to be a human being. I have posted story after story about gang beating and completely ridiculous behavior, and we sit here and try and come up with what to do about it. Is there a solution?

Stop government handouts and that will force them to get a job, and then they will have better self esteem and less time on her hands and be too tired to beat her kids.

1) There arent enough jobs for everyone in a capitalist system.

2) Not all jobs are available for all job seekers.

3) There arent enough qualified people to fill all open positions.

It is a system which requires aid for people who arent working. What is lacking is the proper controls to prevent abuse. Plus, she cant get pregnant in prison, which is where she will go.
