Just a thought

How does the Left get away with saying the Right is mean spirited and hateful? Do you see what they are trying to do to Alito? They made his wife cry for God's sake!! Where are the articles about how they are simply throwing personal attacks at him? They can't get him on substance or ideas (which is seems the Left NEVER can) so they have to try and smear him.

The great thing is he is so much smarter than the political hacks that they look like a bunch of idiots. Strike up another win for Bush and the Right.

Scorpion says---
How can they allow "SPLASH" Kennedy to accuse anyone else of any wrong doing?I'm amazed that he
is allowed to question anyone at all concerning their shortcomings while his credibility is still at the bottom of the river.

well done once again scorpion...there are stories that he questioned Alito about being in a male-only club, when he himself was in a male-only club as well.

Kennedy must think he is an expert on such matters. Luckily for Alito there is no story of him haviong sex with a staff worker and drowning her body....then Kennedy would be an expert.

Mrs. Alito only started crying when Huckleberry Graham made a big case out of how terrible the Dems were treating Alito.

If CAP was no big deal, why didn't Alito just say he joined it for one thing: to support ROTC. He made a point of it by putting it on a job application with the government, then he says he doesn't recall being a member of CAP. CAP records do not show his name. So was he lying on the job application, or is he lying now? Legitimate question, don't you think?

Why can he answer how he would rule on a subject for which there are 6 cases pending on the court, but he can't answer about whether abortion is settled law when there ARE NO abortion cases pending before the court. Why can't he answer the question?

There is no doubt Alito is qualified. There is no doubt he is conservative. There is some doubt about his truthfulness.

very good rhyno...

Jim..I was waiting for one of you to bring up the talk point "settled law" that Roberts said....but he did not SAY it in his confirmation to the supreme court...he said it in his confirmation to the appeals court...one of the liberal senators brought it up this time...

I personally agree that judges should be able to comment on what they think..and I think alito did better than Roberts or Ginsburg...still could say more...its the personal attacks that are not necessary

Being on the Left means never having to say you were wrong or sorry.

They can always wrap their mistakes into another lie.

Jim, you have lost your mind. Mrs Alito was upset at the unfair drubbing her Hubby was taking from your side all day.

She broke down when someone apologized to her Husband.

You guys are salemess in your ability to make excuses for the bad behavior of your side.

If you really believe that drivel, get help. You need it.

Watch the clip and notice how Graham tears up as he makes his "apology". He was the one who asked the phoney question, "Are you a bigot?" Alito was well-rehearsed, and everybody, EVERYBODY, knew what was likely to be brought up in the hearing. Why was Mrs. Alito there?

I repeat the question: Alito proudly proclaimed his membership in CAP when he applied for a government job. Then he said he doesn't recall anything about being a member of CAP. CAP records show no mention of his name. So was he lying when he said that he had been a member of CAP when he applied for the government job?

Is it not legitimate to ask about a possibly hyped-up job application? Wouldn't you if you were hiring somebody?

I'm not defending the Democrats "demeanor" in the hearings. They all, both sides, bloviate (yes I watch O'Reilly). But they have a legitimate right to ask questions about the integrity and the judicial philosophy of the nominee.

You want everyone to just accept Alito because Bush picked him and you trust his judgement? Did you say that when he picked Harriet Myers? Who was it that brought down THAT nomination. The Dems didn't say one bad word about her that I can recall.
