This is crazy. I think this shows that government likes to do things that look good and might make us feel good, but in reality most of the things run by the government are inefficient and worthless.
We have to take our shoes off and get harassed at the airports. That would be perfectly fine with me if I thought it was for some good. But the government either can not formulate a plan that ACTUALLY does make us safe, or they are forced to hire too many incompetent people, or it is simply impossible to keep us safe.
That this is NOT a partisan issue...this type of failure of government programs has happened forever...Republican and Democrat.
So, is there a way for the government to ACTUALLY make us safe?

Sure, issue every traveler a .22 pistol. Do you think ANYONE would try to hijack a plane knowing that EVERY passenger was armed?
