Point made...

Kevin Fischer filled in for Mark Belling today on WISN. He brought up the death penalty.

The point that caught my attention was when he quoted a few polls that said 65% of people in Wisconsin support the death penalty.

There are quite a few issues that the people of Wisconsin are in overwhelming support of, yet they are not laws...

Why is this?

I think the simple fact is that we have too many people who do not agree with our values...oh, and by the way, it is the Democrats who block all these issues...

Support for issues that Democrats block:
death penalty....65%
voter ID bill.....80%
ban on partial birth abortion.....78%
property tax freeze....over 70%
tax payer bill of rights....over 65%

Why is it that any issue that a VAST majority of people want yet does not get passed is always blocked by the Left? Why do we keep voting them in?

And are there any issues that a LARGE majority of people agree with, yet Republicans block?

P.S....Kevin Fischer is much better than Belling AND Sykes.

I have someting to add to the list, it's not just Democrats but almost all politicians... the Fair Tax bill...HR-25, I think. Passage would be the biggest shift of power from the government to the people since the revolutionary war. Needless to say, government people don't like it much.

I agree if I understand what you are saying....you need to vote for a party, because the politicians always vote party line....

if you are saying you need to actually see what the party line is before you vote, then you are right...

however, the idea that you need to "vote for the person" is mostly crap since over 90% of the time the politician votes with party
