Fan Tosses Syringe Near Bonds

A fan tossed a syringe near Barry Bonds as he came off the field in between innings on Monday at Petco Park, and the San Francisco Giants slugger said he picked it up in his glove and carried it off the field.

The syringe apparently did not have a needle.

Bonds, who has denied using performance-enhancing drugs, was booed often by the sellout crowd of 43,767 on Monday.

If you don't believe Bonds took steroids, you also must not believe in the holocaust, and you believe O.J. is innocent.

It will be a very dark day in baseball when this guy breaks Babe Ruth's record. All these steroid freak cheaters have already ruined hard-fought, well deserved, and rightfully earned records....it would be nice if we could stop him from destroying another one.

Barry's in for a long year!

Seattle is about as tame as it gets......He's going to get crushed in LA, Chicago, NY, etc.

Baseball is a game built on the great records.....It would be a shame to see Barry climb over Ruth, but nowhere near as bad as if he topped Aaron.

What's really unfortunate is he was such a magnificent ball player......I'm too young to have seen Mays play, but Barry was the Willie Mays of my generation. A true 5-tool player.

I even bitched that Griffey Jr. was named Player of the Decade in the 90's.........Barry should have won in a landslide, just as he should have won two more MVP's in the 90's.

It's too bad his ego took him down the megalomaniacal path of steroids.......He never would have reached the HR totals he has now, but he would have still been the best player of my time.

He went from being the ultimate 5-tool player to simply being a tool..........It's sad.

right, he was a good player, he has natural ability.

But the simple fact is he has cheated the game. And if anyone doesn't think steroids helped him, you really just don't have a clue.

and you have to believe that Tom Delay is totally innocent of all accusations :-)

I do not support Bonds in any way except to agree that he was a great ball player without the juice. An ass, too, but a great ball player.

I figured you wouldn't like it, its a game of the mind as well as the body...

Yeah, there is a lot of mind in hit this, run there. Chess is a game of the mind, not really any athletics.

SMASH!!!
