Baseless Confidence

It may take a defeat in November for the GOP to unlearn the lessons of power.

Very true.
Republicans have been put in power because they made the contract with America...most Americans agree with this contract.
They wanted welfare reform
Lower taxes
Less spending

But now Republicans are just Democrats-lite

Too much spending
They are not trying to preserve the country most Americans want.
Americans want the borders secured
they do not want blanket amnesty for illegal immigrants

There is a story in the Milwaukee Urinal saying that half the Republicans on the House Judiciary committee voted to keep allowing ballots to be printed in all different languages. That is not a conservative principle. The parties base could care less if these RHINO's were voted out.
Conservatives want immigrants, ones that follow the law and try to assimilate...that is what most conservatives relatives did.

So, the Right will go down in November, I don't see Republicans doing the easy things they could do to keep power...So either the Left will control the border and punish illegals, fight terrorists and keep us safe....(okay, stop laughing), or we will have to wait for 2, 4, or six years of liberals reminding us why they shouldn't be in power before the Right wakes up.

This is a bad idea. Naderites were saying the same shit about teaching "corporate" Democrats a lesson, and they ended up giving us two Bush terms, a Republican Congress, and two conservative Supreme Court Justices.

By the way, the Republican senate gave you lower taxes today, and they've been fighting on the social security front. They could be a lot better on immigration. But does that justify putting liberals, who want to talk and reason with people like bin Laden and Ahmadinejad, back in power? We'd have Kerry, Conyers, Rangel and so forth in charge of all the committees.

I understand your point...but since they are not doing a good enough job, and not being conservatives, they will probably go down in Nov

Which phone company do you use? Are you happy that they turned over your phone records to the NSA?

Jim--

Yes. Unequivocally yes. Absolutely yes.

The NSA is constructing a database of which numbers called which numbers for data mining purposes. When they raid an al-queda hideout in Iraq, for instance, and they find documents with phone numbers on them, you want to know who the al-quedas have been calling. There is no "spying" or "eavesdropping" going on with this effort.

I don't care, and 63% of americans don't either..you are on the wrong side again....the American people want us safe...

why don't you comment on the actual story I wrote about it.

Why should I care if they know who I call, the phone company does and so does anyone else who wants to get the records
