Bush approval rating hits new low

Bush's fall is being fueled by erosion among support from conservatives and Republicans. In the poll, 52% of conservatives and 68% of Republicans approved of the job he is doing. Both are record lows among those groups.

Moderates gave him an approval rating of 28%, liberals of 7%.

This story says:
1. Conservatives actually think, and are not as sheepish as the Left says they are.
2. Bush has been trying to make liberals and moderates happy way too much...hint, liberals will not be happy with a Republican no matter what happens.
3. Anything else?

Reagan and HW Bush has way better approval numbers among liberals cuz they werent fuck ups like W Bush, even if thats how the liberals tried to paint them.

If you see my initial comment, I was referring to just libs cuz you made the point that libs will hate, regardless.

Could you explain to me how Bush has been "trying to make liberals and moderates happy way too much"? How?

And if he isn't trying to make moderates happy, doesn't that make him outside the mainstream?

trying to reach out to liberals:
spending
Medicare drug benefits
lack of border control
plans of amnisty
not being aggressive enough in Iraq
No child left behind
huge increased in education spending
did I mention spending yet?

Spending? Republics control both houses.

Medicare drug benefits? That was HIS bill!

Lack of border control? Keeps his buddies supplied with cheap labor.

Amnesty? You should read a dictionary.

Not being aggressive enough in Iraq? He attacked a country without provocation.

No child left behind? You mean the program he refuses to completely fund?

Huge increase in education spending? Where? And if so, why is that bad?

Spending? See above.

Jim, have you been smoking pot with your hippie friends again...

gov't spends too much, liberals love to spend, bush is going right along with them....trying to please liberals

He passed more welfare for old people, to try and shut up Dems about the issue...

I'm not even going to continue...
Man, you have really lost it
I do think my posts have been even more air tight and filled with facts even more than usual the last two or three days, but with the terrible answers you have given, I am sure of it now.

A Failed Transition

Only costing $100,000 per minute

Well, that proves it. I shouldn't have a liberal bone in my body.

Oh wait. Liberals didn't want the war.

Game, you are delirous! Forget pot, you must be on opium! :-)

Lest you forget, since 2003, the Republics have had the majority in the House and in the Senate. The Democrats have had no power, have been kept out of any negotiations on bills, have been run roughshod on submitting bills or amendments, locked out of committee chambers, hold no committee chairmanships.

So why would George W. Bush feel the least bit inclined, much less compelled to do ANYTHING whatsoever to shut up the Dems. The only thing he has done to shut up the Dems is to hold 9/11 over their heads and accuse them of being unpatriotic if they didn't follow him lockstep on his Iraq policy.

There is NOT ONE law or policy since 2001 that you can pin on the Democrats or Bush placating them.

Dude, put down that pipe!
