Congressman William Jefferson is the Democrat from Louisiana whose Capitol Hill office was raided by the Justice Department in search of evidence pertaining to bribery allegations.
Not according to CBS News, however, which today identifies Mr. Jefferson as "the Louisiana Republican."
Perhaps the network has bought into the Dean-Pelosi-Reid fiction that if there's corruption involved, it must be by a Republican.

They fixed it. Nice catch though.
Everybody knows Jefferson is a Democrat. It's been reported over and over again. ONE slip, one typo and your "NewsBusters" site has enough red meat for a week.
Too bad they don't go bust some real news.
That is what their site is for, showing liberal bias...they have enough material for 10 stories a day
and how does CBS keep making all these errors? EVERYBODY knows it???
CBS didn't...
Of course CBS knows it. They've been reporting about him like everybody else. Some copy writer made an error. Big flippin' deal!
CBS made all what errors?
I'd bring up the Rather "memo" and a few other major errors, not to mention the smaller ones, but I'm sure you'd argue that they're just copy errors.
Right...let's say they are. If they are, and they're having that many copy errors, that's reason enough to quit using them as a news source.
Hey, my comment is missing. I was asking if anyone saw the 'original' article that was posted, in error?
Joey,
How was the "Rather" memo in error? Has anybody successfully refuted the contents of the memo?
No.
See clear thinking adults, people like Jim believe things that have been accepted as crap, like the Rathergate story...
No, No and NO! (Again). Although the authenticity of the Rather documents were questioned, they were never proved to be fake.
AND nobody EVER, EVER succeeded in refuting the information presented.
Because they can't! And that's why people like you never look beyond the smoke screen that the Republic spin machine puts up.
Please show me where the contents of the Rather memos were proved to be untrue. Please! I'll read it. I swear!
Jim, right again. I honestly think why he missed his physical was he would come up dirty in the UA. No not a fact but knowing about his past it makes sense. I might have come up dirty about that time in my life too but he conned and lied his way through it. I wouldnt.
Yeah, I'm waiting for some OTHER explanation still. Bush's entire military "record" is documented and it is little to be proud of.
But Rove has successfully made the issue supposedly fake documents (as yet unproven) instead of Bush's refusal to take an ordered physical or his lack of presence at required reserve duty.
Got to hand it to Rove. He's a genius.
