Liberals: Yeah!!! Soldiers killed civilians

part of an editorial:

Anyone who supports launching a war should be clear-sighted enough to know that, when the troops go in, a few of them will kill civilians, bomb schools, torture prisoners. It happens in every war in history, even the good ones. Individual Americans, Britons, Canadians, Australians did bad things in World War II, and World War I. These aren't stunning surprises, they're inevitable: It might be a bombed mosque or a gunned-down pregnant woman or a slaughtered wedding party, but it will certainly be something. And, in the scales of history, it makes no difference to the justice of the cause and the need for victory.

But now at last the media have their story. They're off the leash. And, if the worst rumors are true, those 10 Marines will come to symbolize the 99.99 percent of their comrades who every day do great things for the Iraqi and Afghan people. In 2004, in the wake of Abu Ghraib, I wrote "there is something not just ridiculous but unbecoming about a hyperpower 300 million strong whose elites -- from the deranged former vice president down -- want the outcome of a war, and the fate of a nation, to hinge on one freaky jailhouse; elites who are willing to pay any price, bear any burden, as long as it's pain-free, squeaky-clean and over in a week. The sheer silliness dishonors the memory of all those we're supposed to be remembering this Memorial Day."

I find it detestable how the media didn't want to show gory pictures of American dead after 9/11 out of fear of angering the benighted masses, but it has no problem showing gory pictures of others harmed by Americans.

That is not objectivity. This is whipping up hatred of America, plain and simple.

You see the same thing with the Mohammed cartoons. The liberal media establishment will censor shows like South Park to defend the sensibilities of terrorists, but has no problem making movies like The Da Vinci Code bashing the Christian religion. I'm not a Christian, and even I can see the gross injustice here.

I've been reading the liberal blogs for some time now.

I have yet to read one celebrating the killings in Haditha. Perhaps you--or your sources--could point me to these liberals who revel in the deaths of civilians, so I can read them for myself?

Good point, jason.

As I stated in a previous post, this HAS been going on forever. Try and find any reference to it from a media source, though.

However, I would be very disturbed had I noticed that Queen George recently removed us from parts of the Geneva convention centering on TORTURE and HUMILIATION of prisoners of war.

WTF?

I am disturbed.

I hope my crappy code worked.....

How do you know what the motivation is for not showing 911 pictures? I've heard stories of some of the images, and you wouldn't want them shown on TV. It has nothing to do with "whipping up hatred of America." Another "they hate America" lie.

When will you stop lying and making up stuff about the media?

Jay --

Look at any of them, though the celebration will usually take the form of an erotic, liberal "grief-off." There are a few out there who claim to have been driven "insane with rage" over the alleged events at Haditha, but most quickly go into leftwing C3P0 mode. "R2, ahem, George Bush, this is all your fault. We shouldn't be here. We're doomed! We surrender!"

Too bad they don't feel the same way when we have *direct confirmation* and not speculation that Islamic extremists have targeted and blown up dozens of Iraqi civilians. The left has taken sides in this war. They support the Iraqi equivalent of the Rhmer Rouge, and not the democratic and reform-minded individuals over there.

So Jason...you know who the good guys and who the bad guys are here huh?
Oh I know, they're just a little east, north and south of Bagdad?
Whats the percentage of "reform minded individuals" and "the Iraqi equivalent of the Rhmer Rouge,"(Khmer?)? Just so we can get an idea of what we are up against.
Are they Sunni or Shia or Kurd. Got any percentages there? Just so we know what we are up against.
Once they settle in as a country what countries around them will they end up being friendly with?
Me thinks I'm not buying a ticket on your guilt trip.
