PROSECUTE the New York Times says Rep. King

Rep. Peter King calls on our U.S. Atty General Alberto Gonzales to PROSECUTE the N.Y. Times. I say, heck ya.....the sooner the better. I don't understand why they have not been already. Just breaking more to come.......

from assorted babble

UBL Thanks Allah for the N.Y. Times

Headlines: N.Y.Times informs Our Ememies
It makes you wonder as I wrote yesterday.....If you listen to the MSM and read certain newspapers such as the N.Y. Times, you would think they were financed by the terrorists or just so full of hate that they want to jeopardize our national security with leaking sensitive info and only reporting to people anything for bashing our president.

Here they go again:
The New York Times - Bank Data Is Sifted by U.S. in Secret to Block Terror
The New York Times - U.S. General in Iraq Outlines Troop Cuts and then this added tidbit from Maureen Dowd.

What, printing your own lies isnt enough, game? Now you have to print other bloggers unsubstantiated claim?

The Game said...

what is unsubstantiated?
the NYT gives away specific data about a spy program that is not needed to be reported....period.
They do it because they hate GWB, and I guess liberal thought says that going after terrorist is bad, or that catching them is bad...I don't think it, I just know that whatever programs Bush as going work, but the MSM tries as best they can to stop these programs, which helps the terrorists...
very logical, easy to understand argument

When are we going to get back to going after Osama game?

They are trying I'm sure, but since he is unable to do anything anymore, he is as good as dead..but it will be great when he really is...
Isn't it funny how liberals bring him up...like if we kill him the war is over???
Shows how little they understand...
and when he does die, will you stop bitching?

Real America

Fight The Good Fight

This is a good example on how important framing an issue is. Lots of people on the right, including some I have debated, say framing doesn't matter, just the facts. Their narrow thinking doesn't allow them to see how many ways one can approach the facts. Here Bernie Ward looks at the Wall Street Journals'(among others) outing of the financial records spy program. Bernie asks who should determine what the press can print. The rightie on here obviously doesn't like that frame and tries to switch it to talking points like hurts the war on terror, unamerican, blah, blah, blah. Same old stuff. Bernie won't let him of the hook so he decides if he can't use his frame of "I'm a great American and you're not" that he is going to leave.. Pretty funny stuff. Yes, Bernie was a little rude but as tired as I am of being nice to these propagandists it actually was refreshing. Not the same old shirk in a corner from the guilt, guilt, guilt-fear,fear, fear pushed by the wingnuts. This is how to show them you won't by in to their psychological warfare.

Watch the video. The transcript doesn't do it justice.

As far as the program goes I don't know enough about it yet to talk about it. If they are doing it legally with oversight and not tracing Americans with no indication of terror connections I am OK with it. I want to know why so many Americans get swept up in all this "terrorist investigation." I am far more worried that our country, as we know it, will fall from within than from some terrorist attack. I want to watch those guys running the show. Especially right now because this cabal has given me multitudes of reasons to not trust them. I also find it strange that they are so worried that we are giving away "secrets". Any terrorist who wouldn't think his every move may be tracked in one way or another isn't worth their salt as a terrorist anyway. The President said publicly he was going to cut off the sources of funding. Rightly so. Of course corporations launder money and use offshore banks all the time to avoid paying taxes and we were never very good at getting them. Even though we all know they exist.
It looks to me like a "we are great Americans and you're not" ploy they employ so often.

We keep bringing up Osama because he is the real terrorist!!!!!!! The one that organized the attack on us remember!!???..although the FBI says they don't have enought evidence to charge him. I guess that video isn't good enough?

O I C all of you:

We're just going to say, without trial and due process, that Osama Bin Laden is guilty of blowing up our Twin Towers, the places that Ron has posted, among other terrorist activities?

Where's the proof? How do we know that the videos we've been shown are the absolute truth, and haven't been edited?

And how, pray tell, even if he is proclaimed guilty, would this have anything to do with starting a war in Iraq that has nothing to do with Osama yo' mama?

I thought in America, that people are innocent until proven guilty (or has that always been a joke, too)?

And you want to kill Osama before he's been tried?

WTH kind of country is the U.S. any more????????
