Bungled burglary case could have kept suspect off streets before killing

A 25-year-old single mother of four did all she could to get Sidney Gray locked up. Too bad the authorities didn't work the case as hard as the woman who pointed the finger at Gray saying he tried to break into her home.

If they had, Gray would have likely been in custody on July 22. Instead, police said, Gray on that day broke into yet another home and, in the process, gunned down Frank Moore II, a 38-year-old good Samaritan who was trying to stop the burglary.

For those of you who complain that we spend too much money on jails and locking bad people up, here is another reason why you are wrong. If there was one thing that raising taxes would be okay for, this is it. A loser like this should be behind bars.....period. In fact, I think the three strikes law should be a federal law. I know, liberals like Joel McNalley will complain how many people are in jail for doing nothing REALLY wrong like doing drugs. I don't care...people who break the law over and over again need to be put away for good. If we could get more of these bad people off the streets, less people would be killed and terrorized in their own neighborhoods...
