Dem's look bad again

Rebel group funded congressman's trip to Sri Lanka, sources say
WASHINGTON - Illinois congressman Danny Davis and an aide took a trip to Sri Lanka last year that was paid for by the Tamil Tigers, a group that the U.S. government has designated as a terrorist organization for its use of suicide bombers and child soldiers, law enforcement sources said.
Davis' seven-day trip came under new scrutiny this week following the arrests of 11 supporters of the organization on charges of participating in a broad conspiracy to support the terrorist group through money laundering, arms procurement and bribery of U.S. officials.

Was this just a mistake? Should it be a big deal? Well, no matter what your answer, you know it will not be a big deal, because it is a Democrat who did it.

Riley still running, despite allegation of voting in 2 states
Donovan Riley is still in the race for a state Senate seat, as officials probe an allegation that he voted twice in the 2000 election.

Riley has said in a written statement that in 2000 he was dividing his time between Illinois and Wisconsin and "it's possible I made a mistake."

I have noted many, many cases of Democratic vote fraud, and I am only pulling from stories in Southeastern Wisconsin. You have Dems giving homeless people cigs for votes, Dem workers slashing GOP vans the day before the election, and the fact that Dems signed up people to vote who didn't live at the address, or the address was completely made up. Mind you, this is only in MILWAUKEE....add in the fact that there are STILL 7,000 more votes counted than were cast in 2004, and it is CLEAR to anyone who is intellectually honest that Dem's regularly commit vote fraud. No, this is not the moonbat, tin foil wearing stories of the Dem's were computers make up numbers, accusations that have never been proven anywhere, except in the tin foil line of the grocery store, and on the internet.

Now, you have proof of a Dem running for office of vote fraud, something I'm sure millions of liberals did in 2000...vote twice. There is nothing to stop him. I told people myself that I could have easily voted 3 times in 2000...I had proof of residence in three different districts.

I also say regularly that when Dem's get caught, they just blow it off and keep on going.
This story points out all the ways I am correct. He voted twice, and his only comment is: "it's possible I made a mistake."
Ha! The Democratic governor didn't tell him to drop out, that is because he is busy
shaking down companies for favors

So there you have it, Democratic corruption all over the place. If Dem's gave a crap and really believed in the integrity of our voting system, they would be for Voter ID's, but they are not, because as we have proven over and over and over and over and over again, they love voter fraud.

Bribery? A Chicago Congressman?

That is way too farfetched for me.

Um, Riley dropped out on Thursday. After, I might add, a number of the area's elected Democrats (and me) called on him to do so. It's your district, man; where you been?

Jay Bullock said...

Oh, and Doyle doesn't get involved in primaries. He hasn't even endorsed Falk, though he asked to her to run--not, mind you, telling Peg to drop out.

Who was defending the indicted Tom DeLay again? And taking his money? His name was a color . . . Blue? No, that's not right . . . Oh, yeah, Mark Green.

Doyle and Green cannot be held responsible for everything people in their parties do.

the main point I wanted to make was the constant voter fraud done by Dems...

I think jasons comment is right on. Oh, and I found a bunch of Lautenschlager signs just sitting when I was downtown, yesterday. If you find one in your lawn, I didnt do it. You cant claim constant voter fraud by Dems anymore than you can claim constant lying and warmongering by Pubs.

The Game said...

try and focus on the issue rhyno...
voter fraud is what Dem's do...don't confuse it with other issues

Game, you cannot seem to see the forest for the trees. You are obsessed with voter ID and slashed tires and simply blow off the huge potential for fraud posed by electronic voting machines. Until you acknowledge that, your complaints about election fraud have no legitimacy.

And if you still think that only Dems are involved in voter fraud, I will remind you ONCE again about the Republic voter fraud in 2002 in New Hampshire tied to the WHITE HOUSE.

So quit with the "voter fraud is what Dem's do" Bullshit. It only makes you look more foolish.

The Game said...

The guy who jammed the phones was wrong, and that is that. If you want to try and say the White House had something to do with it just because phone calls were made makes you more simple minded than most liberals. Is he the only campaign manager to call the white house? get that info and get back to me...
And I guess the electronic voting thing is a Republican plan too? Right Jim?
I site actual examples of Dem's voting twice, slashing tires, not supporting voter ID's, giving cigs to homeless people for votes, and on and on and on from ONE CITY...ONE...and you keep giving your one link....Guess what Jim, you lose.

Here's another great election story: Billbray-Busby in the special election for Congress in California 50th district on June 6th.

Speaker Hastert had Billbray sworn in before the vote was certified. Then when irregularities were discovered and the result was questioned in court, Hastert claimed, "Too late, we've already sworn him in."

The voting was done and or counted on Deibold machines. You remember Deibold, don't you? The owner of the company said he'd do anything in his power to see that Bush got re-elected in 2004? Did you know these machines in California were left in the hands of poll workers for days ahead of the election?

So stop worrying about slashed tires and start worrying about electronic voting machines because some day the Dems will figure out how to do it and you'll be screaming to high heaven and buying tin foil by the truckload.

For the record, I oppose electronic voting machines. Totally unnecessary, and I can wait for the results to be hand counted with bipartisan oversight. Voting irregularites will never be completely prevented most likely. I also oppose idiots who can't use a simple ballot and are too stupid or proud to ask for help. Everyone should have ID's, everyone should go to the polling places, everyone should register. There's at least two years between major elections and they're held on the same day. There's no excuse for not being prepared. If you're too stupid or lazy to do your duty as a citizen, you can't claim that the system "disenfranchises" you or any such crap.

And that's what I think.

Jim said...

Marshall, we are somewhat in agreement.

I think machines could be used to create a clear, readable ballot which makes crystal clear the intent of the voter. That ballot should be counted in at least two independent ways in a non-partisan process.

I don't know if you actually ever looked at the infamous butterfly ballot, but if you did, I think you might change your mind about it. It was not "simple". It was extremely misleading and those who mis-voted were by no means stupid morons.

Marshal Art said...

Jim,

I'm not sure that I have seen that ballot. I don't know what name is applied to the ballot used here. But once again, unless it was a first time situation in a given locale, everyone should either know how from past experience, or ask for assistance. As I said, there's plenty of time to prepare between elections. To still have problems on Nov 2, well, perhaps "moron" isn't the most accurate appelation, but it's darn close. However, I have no problem with making them even easier to use, so long as they don't make them easier to alter, or complain about at the same time.

Jim said...

Here it is. I believe this was the first time this ballot was used and presumably the last.

The Game said...

I have said many, many times that we do not need electronic voting machines, I don't trust them, especially if they do not have a paper trail...
I am just not going to say electronic voting machines is a RNC conspiracy...

again, the ballots that you have to fill in the arrow seem to be the best to me...

The Game said...

we do not need the butterfly ballot...100 elementary school kids used it, and 100 used it properly...
and I will not just excuse all the cheating in Milwaukee...

jhbowden said...

Jim--

If you think that ballot is bad, you should see what we have in Cook County.

Marshal Art said...

But Jason,

That ballot Jim linked to is eerily similar to what I used, and I also live in Cook County. But from that example, it looks to me like there are arrows pointing directly to the appropriate hole to punch. If that's the butterfly ballot everyone was whining about, I'm afraid that "moron" moniker seems much more appropriate.

I agree with game & jim about the electronic voting machines, with no paper trail to back it up.

Let's put it this way: Business back up their computers. Why can't we back up votes? Being a bookkeeper currently, and for the last few years, all bookkeeping that was done on the computer was also backed up by hand, with the exception of one place I worked for.
