Wisconsin State Fair Day 10: Saturday August 12th

Walking around the Fair one last time:
There were a ton of people at the fair yesterday, and there should be. It was perfect weather once again. Ate more food, went to see the goats since they were not around last time I walked around, saw some students and went into the expo hall. Again, it was so enjoyable to see so many different types of people having fun together at the fair. One of the only places around where that is possible.

Review of Grandstand show.
The race track should have been turned into a skating rink Saturday night at the Wisconsin State Fair Miller Lite Main Stage. For those of you of that era, it brought back memories of skating to Bon Jovi, Styx...and Tesla, Skid Row and Slaughter.
Slaughter and Skid Row can be lumped together in this review. Both sound good on CD (record) but not so much in concert. I liked hearing Fly to the Angels, Youth Gone Wild, I'll Remember You, 18 and Life and Monkey business. In fact, I think Skid Row has better songs than Tesla, but Tesla still has the original lead singer, and Skid Row does not. Therefore, Tesla is the headliner.
The 8500 in attendance were ready for Tesla. They put on a nice hour and ten minute set that sounded much better. I'm not that big a fan of Tesla so I admired the musical talent they had, but wasn't too excited about the actual songs.
The bigger problem was that many of the people there still believed they were in 1986 and acted like it. The back stage area was out of control. It was nice to see some 10's in the women department. I'm not sure why they are still hot for Tesla, but I didn't ask any questions. There were groupies, radio station people, and of course, everyone knew the band through a cousin or best friends cousin, or neighbors-brothers-college roommate. Anyway, if you love the 80's you were entertained Saturday night. Overall the people were okay for the fact it was a 3 hour rock show.
