No, and they couldn't. If you have forgotten, the Republican Party controls the House and Senate, and it isn't likely that the Republicans would take away ABC's license (now that the network has decided to join their party.)
I defy you to find one single place where the Dems have threatened to pull ABC's broadcasting license.
In other news... this is a pretty trivial non-issue anyway (or hasn't that sunk in yet either).
The FCC determines who gets a broadcasting license. No one else does. I'm sure that Dems & Repugs alike are aware of this.
They make threatening comments:

It is telling the the liberals here in no post have admitted to the liberal hypocracy. They were up in arms when the Reagan show was pulled (and not because of lawyers and threats from Senators), but now they think it is fine...just keep ignoring that fact liberals, maybe then it will just go away

I just saw the first half of the movie. I can't tell what the Democrats were objecting to. Perhaps they don't want people to see terrorism in a larger context. Why?
Well, if the problem is not Bush, and it is a global war by Islamic Fascists at all levels from fundamentalist activists to heads of state that want to wipe us out, and if this has been going on and growing for decades, then Democrats may have to reexamine political commitments, and that is painful.
It is much easier to accept the Communist dogma that the United States is a racist, sexist, homophobic, corrupt, militarist, unintellectual, unmoral, uninspiring source of evil that works to benefit a tiny financial elite. And that's exactly how the left sees us.
Therefore, regardless of all evidence, America is inexorably just oppressing people for their oil supplies, or for defense contractors, or for the Jews, and if we could just get rid of the ChimpyMcSatanburton regime, terrorists will work with us diplomatically to negotiate our differences in peace.
That's why Democrats are so confident negotiation and diplomacy and sympathy will work. They don't understand what we're dealing with-- a global movement that wants to wipe us out, for what they believe are good reasons. Khatami just said here in America that the West went wrong during the Renaissance and now has an over-reliance on Reason. That sounds like what the pomo wackademics preach in our universities.
All of the people who wish America harm -- Hugo Chavez, Saddam Hussein, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Bashar Assad, Fidel Castro, Kim Jong Il -- and those who wouldn't mind if we suffered, like the Russians, French, and the Chinese-- are seen as friends to the left. But the British, and the Australians, and the Israelis, and the Canadians -- are all seen as sinful imperialists. They see moral value in punishing our friends and rewarding our enemies -- it shows self-sacrifice.
They are wacky, wacky, wacky. Some will say we should take care of our own and give the Islamofascists free reign in their operations. Others will claim that Islamofascists don't mean what they do or say, and that we haven't "understood" them. Then there are the goons who think all terrorism is a Republican plot to keep peace-loving Democrats out of power. Others will fanatically scream 'bullshit' and claim focusing on port security will keep us safe, as if retreat will have no deleterious consequences in the world today. If we show our allies we can't be relied upon, if we give terrorists safe havens to operate, if we let them mobilize entire societies against us, if we let them have WMD -- well, who are we to judge? If in another culture an armed minority to enforces its perspective against what is democratically chosen, we can't support the democrats, because that would be "being a bully."
Given how widespread this nonsense is, we better get used to saying Allah Akbar. Because if there's a suicidal attack on us in the next 20 years, it will involve nukes, and the United States of America will be on its knees, permanently.
The language of that letter, game, was just serving as a reminder as to ABC's place, and to what their job & responsibility to the public is, it's true, and if it is found by the FCC that they haven't lived up to their responsibilities, then yes, a license can be revoked; however this is extremely rare. The most anyone protesting the movie can do, is take their concerns up with the FCC, and let them take it from there (to which I fail to see any evidence that even this has been done -- the letters were written to ABC directly). I still fail to see a threat anywhere. Show me one.
You can't, because everything I've said (being retired from broadcasting) is true.
So, I suggest you & the site you got it from retract the "threatened to pull our license" routine. It's completely false.

I don't think so. Go look up all the trade that's going on now with China. And this has been just since GWB took power.
Also -- the port deals (among other things)? Who's the administration selling the U.S. out to other countries?
Stop with your bullshit, Jason. I've never seen an administration so bad with international policy as this one is, leaving the U.S. open to anything & everything.
