Fox News Projects Doyle winner

at 840 PM, Fox News projected Jim Doyle the winner as the governor of Wisconsin...
I have not seen this reported on any other blog, but I am hesitant to call it an exclusive or a first...

Comrade Blagojevich was reelected too, so don't feel bad.

I went with the Constitutional Party write-in Randy Stufflebeam. How 'bout you, Jason? There was really no doubt that Blago would continue to dine in the mansion, but I felt that if the sick and pathetic Illinois Republican Party really cares, they'll see where the votes went. Stufflebeam is a bit over the top on an issue or two perhaps, but he's right there on most of them for my money. Too bad I didn't hear of him 'till late. Hopefully he'll keep his website alive and stay involved. I'd like to hear more of him. Do you think Topinka will go away?

One, I will vote for a Democrat before I vote for a guy that will ban pornography. ;)

Two, if Republicans are going to continue to make Terri Schiavo (Santorum), sexy novels (Allen), embryonic stem cell research (Talent) priorities in their campaigns instead of Islamic Fascism and keeping the prosperity going, they're going to continue to lose. If juicing up radical Christians on wedge issues isn't giving us victory in conservative states like Missouri and Virginia, I see no reason why this strategy should work nationally, let alone places like Illinois.

The irony is that the social conservatives have gotten everything they've wanted with judges, where fighting liberal social activism takes place, and then some (Alito), and their anger, which has been justified by faith, not reason, has lost them the U.S. Congress, where their best friends are. Bush is not a conservative, and will likely compromise with the Democrats on everything from immigration to spending to judges. In contrast, what has a classical liberal like received-- uh, Ted Kennedy's education bill, a prescription drug benefit -- Republicans acted like they had 40 years to set things right, and they fumbled.

If those like Mr. Stufflebeam really want to see a "REVOLUTION!!!," well, we're in for a blast from the past, since the revolution that started in the 1960s and 1970s has now resumed.

Yes. Bill Brady should be someone all Republicans can rally around, especially against an America-hater like Senator Turban.

Bringing people into the party was Topinka's raison d'etre, and she blew her chance. It should have been easy against an opponent like Blagojevich, who will most certainly be indicted in his next term.

Meanwhile, it looks like Peraica is getting screwed by the Dem machine.
