Web sites capture shoppers with good deals, lots of details

I know I will sound like I am not hip on this one, but I do not like buying things online.
Certain items are okay, ones that are simply objects that you are already familiar with and do not need to see. Things like video games, mp3 players and so on.
But, anything I need to try on, anything whose colors have to match, or anything else I am not completely familiar with has to be bought in a store. I need to see it. I don't want to get something in the mail and have to send it back. I'll take the time to go get it.

What do you guys think?
This is obviously becoming the way for more and more Americans to shop.
