Baseball spending could be dangerous

Are you looking at these numbers?
You can be a losing pitcher and make close to 10 million dollars a year...are you kidding me!!!
It is why some people don't want to pay for baseball tickets anymore...they are supporting these ridiculous salaries.
If you are any good you are looking at getting almost 20 million. I can't believe it...

What this means is cities like Milwaukee will NEVER compete...Milwaukee can build a new stadium, but now everyone has a new stadium, and more and more money....and Milwaukee just doesn't have enough to get the "good" players.

Even if they could get one, that is not enough...and why would one guy come here when he knows he will be the only big free agent to come here???

How do other small markets do it?

Milwaukee will have to mine the minor leagues for overlooked players. I know of a pitcher the Brewers trated the Giants for and they released him after spring training. The kid is a lefty and caught on with Toledo, I believe.

I wonder if the real house cleaning should be the Management and scouting staffs.

Scorpion says---
There is absolutely nothing they
can do to be worth the money being thrown at them.Plus they have all the benefits that any union member has plus can be an individual contractor with their agent.GAME-walk into your principal's office and ask for a million dollar raise-
see what she'll say.

This is why I don't get into sports -- these people making all this money just to go out and have fun -- not a damn one of them worth it -- we should all be so lucky to make those millions for our hard work. It disgusts me.
