Jimmy Carter Fires Back at Longtime Aide Over Book

WASHINGTON — Former President Jimmy Carter faced new criticism Friday over his controversial book on Palestinian lands when a former Middle East diplomat accused him of improperly publishing maps that did not belong to him

Carter is just like any other liberal who tries to defend him. He is flat-out, with out a doubt, the worst President in atleast 100 years. When someone defends him they simply are stripped of the little amount of credibility a liberal could muster. This one isn't even tough. Gas shortage, double digit inflation, hostage crisis.

That fact that ANYONE thinks he is a good President shows the truth in the expression "liberalism is a mental disorder"

Once again, right-wingers show a complete ignorance or disregard of history and facts. I've defended Carter several times, and I am not a liberal. Soaring inflation and the gas shortage were reasons Ford wasnt re-elected. Carter inherited those issues from Ford and there wasnt anything him or Ford could have done.

I agree with rhyno.

Carter's record may be debated. But the truth is, he'll never ever have to worry about being named worst president ever since the 43rd.

Well, stabbing the progressive (yet corrupt) Shah in the back has been the gift that keeps on giving. Persia no longer exists; now the country is run by apocalyptic fundies.

Good job. Keep up the solid work in promoting human rights and liberal democracy. The anti-war crowd in American history from Lindbergh to Sheehan has always preferred peace through tyranny. It is a shame the party of Wilson, Roosevelt, Truman, Kennedy, and Johnson has been overrun by the McGovernite loons.

We can top Carter's great achievement in the Middle East if we take, well, Carter's advice and stab Israel in the back. In the liberal universe, we need to stop Israel's "genocide" and "apartheid" against the peaceful and civilized Pallies, who just want to share their noble and blessed thoughts about the sand with the rest of humanity.

Rhyno

As I've pointed out to you before, he may have inherited a mess, but it didn't improve, it got worse, much worse, under his leadership.

Jim,

If Carter had been the 43rd president, we’d be much closer to having prayer rugs sold on every corner than we are now.

Yes, and it was getting worse before he inherited it.

"Yes, and it was getting worse before he inherited it."

Many say the same about our economy before Bush inherited it. Yet, they don't give him the same space. The thing is, now the economy is doing very well, and the left won't even acknowledge it. Bush worse that Jimma? Sure he is.
