Hitler must have not been such a bad guy if, according to many liberals, most people in the Bush administration are worse than him.

Well, I almost let this pass, but since you MUST falsely blast liberals, I MUST defend them.
You, just like Sean Hannity, apparently do not realize there is a difference between how Hitler manipulated the people of Germany and brought the Nazi party and himself to power and what he did to the Jews and the Russians WITH that power.
I know of nobody in this country (except Cindy Sheehan, who represents an extremely small minority of radicals, not liberals) who equates Bush or anybody in his administration with the murderers of millions. However, comparing the political manipulations of this administration with those of a historical example are very legitimate.
Got it?
Why don't you draw for us those comparisons, Jim. It should be amusing...er, enlightening. There are no comparisons between the two. Before you try comparing the false demonizing of the Jews with the very real threat of Islamofascism, think harder. That dog, as they say, won't hunt.
Jim,
Nice spin, but it doesn't wash. Behar is just following the Liberal Bandwagon. Now, how many Kos and other blog posts, Ted Rall cartoons do you want see to show you are dealing another untruth?
Marshall, I have already written of those comparisons and you noted that you read them. See..in one eye and out the other if it doesn't fit your world view. That is why debate is fruitless.
pcd for republican spokesman!
Jason, however true your statistics may be, they bear no relevance to the discussion at hand. And you have no idea what you are talking about Europe being "completely overrun by people like Ron and Jim". You don't know me and you don't know Ron. I won't speak for Ron but your assertions have nothing to do with me.
Marshall, you make an interesting point: "comparing the false demonizing of the Jews with the very real threat of Islamofascism". However, I was not referring to that. There is a complex history to Germany and the rise of the Third Reich, and it is not all about demonizing the Jews.
I've read enough comments on Little Green Footballs, Free Republic, Michelle Malkin and other blogs to know that the denizens of these blogs are every bit off the wall as some of the comments on Daily Kos and liberal blogs. Any assertion that liberal blog commenters are somehow worse than "conservative" commenters is just hogwash.
And anybody who continues to equate blog comments with blog posts is ignorant at best.
Jim,
The history of Germany may be complex, but the rise of Nazism was pretty plain: our troubles are someone else's fault. Stir up enough crap and the people will support the stirrer. Find a scapegoat and the sheep will seek it's demise.
The connection to Bush is in the belief that he has done the same thing. But as I pointed out, the differences are stark. The cause of our troubles, that is a plethora of terrorist attacks culminating in 9/11, was without debate, coming from radical Islamists. To stem the attacks, we needed to kick some ass. And from the beginning, the targets were plainly stated as those who harbor and support terrorists. We finnish the job we've started and we'll increase the possibility that other supporters will feel less inclined to be so. We leave, they win. Period. End of debate. From that perspective, it is Nazism and Communism that is more closely similar to Islamofascism. We, our people, military, and definitely our leaders, bear no resemblance to any of them. At this point, I have no patience for those who would draw such comparisons. They are sadly confused and in the way.
As to denizens of conservative blogs, I would agree that there are those who parallel the wackos at lib blogs. I've blasted them myself in hopes of keeping the distinction between left and right clear. But in visiting a lib blog from time to time, I can sit here confidently and say that we've a ways to go to match the vitriol that floods the lib blogs, and there's NO doubt about that.
