Historians: Clinton top recent president

250 professionals surveyed – Reagan, Carter beat Bush 41

This should be a good topic of discussion.
What makes Clinton the best President of our time, honestly.
The lying under oath?
The way he ignored terrorism?
How the raising of taxes started a recession in 2000?
He really didn't do anything important worth remembering, did he?

Remind me again what the national debt was when Clinton left office. And what is it now?

Remind me again of what the deficit was when Clinton left office. Oh there wasn't one, that's right. And what is the deficit now?

There is no evidence that raising taxes started a recession in 2000, or can you PROVE that? And even if there was, the Democrats did not control both houses of Congress at the time. So any tax increases were passed by Republics as well.

Ignoring terrorism? Everyone but the wing nuts knows that's flat out and false. Absurdly, totally FALSE.

I listed all the attacks before, not doing it again...he ignored it, PERIOD...fact. A better argument from you would be to say that no one cared about terrorist at the time...that much is true...but if you have adults running the white house and not kids running around getting blow jobs and stealing FBI files while renting out the Lincoln bedroom, maybe SOMETHING could have gotten done...

All in all, I think it's a little too early to be ranking any of these guys. The current crop of historians are most likely your run of the mill lib university professors, so their opinion is worthless to me. All are too close to the events to be impartial judges of their performances and impact.

Actually I don't trust Lib professors for any opinion. Their heads are full of crap and asking them a question just give them another opportunity to pollute the local environment by spreading vast quantities of manure.
