This day in History: Paul Ravere

I bring this up because one of the reasons Ravere went out that night to warn people "the British (redcoat's) were coming was because they were coming to take away the guns of the people.

One could say (a bit of a stretch) that one of the reasons the Revolutionary war started was because the British were trying to impose strict gun control.

Are we not having some in society try to do that now.
The common sense statement about gun control is that criminals don't care what gun laws you pass, they will get guns just like they get drugs or whatever else.

You are only hurting the citizens who want to protect themselves...the law abiding citizens...

Amen.

It is my understanding that the colonial delegates insisted on the 2nd Amendment in order to gain their signatures. Most of the colonies, if not all, had within their individual constitutions provisions for self defense, i.e. bearing arms.

Gosh Guys

Why use common sense when there's knee-jerking to be done?
