Here are a few things some crazy far-left wing idiots said at an assembly at Boulder High School back in April. The worst part, they were asked to come. You see, liberals run our education system. If they believe this kind of crap is okay, just imagine some of the other things your impressionable children are learning...
"I am going to encourage you to have sex and encourage you to use drugs appropriately," said clinical psychologist Joel Becker at the conference.
"Now, what is healthy sexual behavior? Well, I don't care if it's with men and men, women and women, men and women -- whatever combination you would like to put together," Becker said.
There was no other side given...liberals constantly assume all kids have sex and do lots of drugs. Why is that?

I have to agree with you on this one, Game. Encouraging kids to have sex and do drugs is effing stupid.
They are going to do it enough if you tell them not to. If you give them the green light, they are going to go overboard.
I have done research on this topic. Yes, kids are going to do bad things, but it is not the "enlightened" way to think that you are the cool parent or adult who tells them to go ahead and do it. Adults are supposed to have honest talks and even debates with kids....
There is nothing wrong with adults explaining the facts and consequences for bad behavior...eventually it works in some cases..
Look at smoking...half of adults used to smoke, now it is under 30 percent...
By the way, my research stated that if kids were offered an increase in abstinence training in grade school, then CONTINUE the abstinence in high school when contraception could be added, students were more likely to have positive attitudes about abstinence and possibly hold off sexual activity til an older age...and stats have shown that if a kid can wait until atleast 18, they cut their risk of catching STDs or getting pregnant in half
As a parent who has had a VERY wild time during my teens and 20's, I view my role as a parent to be the one to provide a counterbalance to the immature person's tendency to do whatever feels good.
Ah, I see life has had a minimal impact on Phil's view.
Civilization needs guard rails to limit some of the options available to people. I didn't say eliminate all options OR do their thinking for them as the Democrat party would have.
Man philip,
How can you go from far-far left wing crazy to sensible parent?
I'm not really a far left crazie, I just play one on tv
liberals constantly assume all kids have sex and do lots of drugs. Why is that?
Because most of them are?
Did you guys just forget what it was like as teenagers, or what? (Actually judging by the level of invective some of you sling around, I suspect a lot of you are still teenagers.)
By all means, lets discuss ways to change that - I think parents should be doing all they can to promote healthy drug and sex attitudes in children, as they see fit - but it's not the job of the school to be parents. (I thought I heard a conservative say that, once.) Schools should definitely educate children about the facts of sex, but the morality of sex is best left to parents.
