The mind of a liberal

Here is a story on the Drudge Report today
Exclusive: Suicide Bomb Teams Sent to U.S., Europe

Here are the first two comments after the story:

Nice going W.

The fruits of our evil labors are coming to bear and now innocent civilians will likely pay for the mistakes made by the leadership (or lack thereof) of our country.

The message, terrorist were nice people who would never come here and hurt anyone (they forget about 9-11), but we were mean to them. If we were nice to the terrorist, they would leave us alone. Liberals at this blog like to deny that people of their own ilk would think like this, and I would be embarrassed if I thought like a liberal myself...but here is more evidence of the twisted mind of a liberal.

Some people act like the WTC was not attacked in 1993, or the Khobar Towers were not bombed, or terrorists didn't attack our embassies in 1998 in Kenya and Tanzania, or the USS Cole was never bombed. Instead, I'm supposed to believe terrorism is a Rethuglican fiction used to make the sheeple give into fear so the corporations can get rich by conquering other countries.

There are millions out there who really believe this shit. Must be the critical thinking skills the modern citizen learns in the government school system.

there it is...waiting to hear that answer...
No Jay, these are fake people...they do not exist...
These are the type of comments that you see at DailyKos and all the other liberal blogs...or is there another name for all these people that don't exist to Jay and Jim

Jay Bullock said...

I didn't say they were fake people.

I asked what about those comments identified the people as "liberal." It's a simple question.

Jay,

How dishonest are you? Are you going to try to tell us that Liberals don't say such things? I'll tell you a majority of them say it on a regular basis. I don't know if you are honest enough to face your blindness or not. Only your dodging and spinning answers will tell.

Really, Jay. You do have a point insofar as the commenters have not identified themselves politically. But I don't think anyone would take a bet that they aren't liberal. Few on the right lay such actions at the feet of George Bush. In fact, from what we've heard from Democratic leaders, the commenter could be Howard Dean or John Kerry or Harry Reid.

jay--

Actually, I had in mind the cartoonish liberals I've encountered at Kos, HuffingtonPost, and DemocraticUnderground, though most of the current liberal politicians as marshall mentioned will suffice.

It's amazing how much Jay and Jim live in denial as to how people on thier side think

Really, pcd? You've met and had this conversation with tens of millions of people to be able to make this claim?

And, for the record, there are plenty of conservatives who have said that the pursuit of the Iraq war would and has increased the incidence of terrorism around the world. Not to mention the best assessment of our intelligence community.

Jay, I no longer believe a thing you say. You are just another PC blind liberal who is worthless.

Jay,

I hear this put forth on many occasions, but there's a flaw in that suggestion. Why would it go without saying that our efforts would make the enemy simply drop their weapons and quit? Our belated response to years of attacks on our interests around the world would of course prompt more attacks by the enemy. It doesn't seem such a surprise to me. They think we'll cave if they do step up attacks. They are counting on us folding when the constant attacks weaken the resolve of enough Americans. Of course they'll step it up. It doesn't make our efforts a bad idea in any way, shape or form.

Bingo! Marshall

The enemy is using a very basic strategy that should be obvious. The fact that some don't understand, is simply mind-boggling.

I'll go one further, if some Dem (or Repub) politicians don't understand such a simplistic concept, then their views about the war should be simply dismissed as ignorant and irrelevant.

Well, look. Nobody's ever flown any airplanes into buildings in Toronto.

Isn't that maybe just a little bit significant? That we're in a supposedly "global war on terror", but our neighbors to the north have been essentially unscathed?

Doesn't it maybe make a little sense to ask what Canada is doing that we aren't - or what they're not doing that we are - that makes them such a low-interest target for terrorists?
