Murder in Milwaukee

I'm just going to show the facts...and you will see what and where the problem is...
Then the liberals can blame it on everyone else...
Some simple observations:
1. Almost all the crime in the city happens in one area
2. The people in this area, for the most part, do not have even a high school degree.
3. Most of the people who commit crimes have done it before and will do it again..
So...
1. Whose fault is it that they can't even graduate from high school?
2. Whose fault is it that judges keep letting the bad people out on the streets?
3. What can be done?...I've given my answer hundreds of times...

You should submit a bill to the City for $600,000. Your findings are certainly much more revealing than those of the Homicide Review Committee which includes a Milwaukee Police Deputy Chief who, I'm told, is also a candidate for Chief.

If you click on the title you get a link that shows where this data came from..I believe it is from the committee you speak of...

However, you are correct, my conclusions are much better than what they came up with

game,

Such common sense! They really crap on you in Milwaukee, don't they.

C'mon,GAME,somehow it has got to be
somebody elses fault.Maybe MPS isn't bending over backwards enough
to provide enough that no one comes to the schools to take advantage of anyway.

if only republicans could be in charge all of this would be corrected and no one would have anything at all to complain about.

oh wait..forgot, they have been and America is so much better than before.

Ron,

Care to show how the GOP runs either Milwaukee or Wisconsin??

Your cheap miss is noted.

ron--

Homicide in New York City, thanks to us Republicans, is at 6.6 per 100,000. Milwaukee, a Democrat city, has a homicide rate of 20.6 per 100,000, three times as high. That's almost as bad as Killadelphia, another Democrat city.

Democrats don't like to enforce laws, since they think Rule of Law is racist. (Democrats think everything is racist, but I digress.)

If only conservatives werw allowed to run govt in inner cities for 20 years, yes...80% of the problems would be solved...
However, who runs inner cities...liberals...and that is why they are shit holes

Ron is like Jay, Jim, and Phil. They take a cheap shot when they think there is no comeback for their missive, but run when the incoming is destroying their position.

Are we all looking at the same data here? The last graph shows a consistent decline! Sure it's still too much, and not as good as other cities, but shouldn't we be at least somewhat encouraged?

Of course, you know it's all George Bush's fault. Once he's hanged, electrocuted, shot and spends the rest of his life in prison for all his crimes against the universe, everything will be peachy keen.

Send it to the M7...of course they'll ignore it but you should send it to them anyway.

Great post.

what is M7

Sorry game. Guess I should have looked at your source, but your conclusion is still worth as much as they paid members of their committee. I've posted this elsewhere in the blogosphere but for those who haven't seen it, this is what I was able to accomplish as C.O. of MPD District #3 (Center St. to Menomonee River Valley; 16th St. to City limits west) in calendar 2002 and 2003 while I was there. And we didn't have a $600,000 HRC to enlighten us either. We just did it with good old fashioned Crime Trend Analysis; neighborhood intelligence networks; and no-nonsense Q of L policing.

Homicides:
Calendar 2001 – 35
Calendar 2002 - 18
Decrease=48.6%

Homicides in Metcalfe Park
2001 (9)
2002 (3)
2003 (4)

Aggravated Assaults
2001 = 992
2002 = 811
Decrease = 18.2%
2003 = 701
Decrease = 14.4%

Shootings
2001 = 187
2002 = 107
Decrease = 42.8%
2003 = 112

Reduction Part 1 Crimes
2002 = 8.1%
2003 = 6.5%

Reduction in Violent Crime
2003 = 15.5%

and that is good that things are going down in this area...
However, things are still clearly out of control in some parts of the city, and it affects everyone
