Are the Dem's actually going to admit that Bush did something correct?

It looks like they are coming around and actually saying what they think instead of what they believe will get them more votes.

Baird sees need for longer U.S. role in Iraq

I will have to say this.
It is a political mistake for Dems to do this. They have to keep saying the US has lost the war and keep bashing the troops. Polls show that they have succeeded in turning America against the war like they did in Vietnam. If they start to allow the American people to see what is really going on, they are going to lose millions of votes.

I don't see Rep. Baird complimenting the Bush administration or praising its policies: "I believe that the decision to invade Iraq and the post-invasion management of that country were among the largest foreign-policy mistakes in the history of our nation. I voted against them, and I still think they were the right votes."

One person does not constitute a trend, thus rendering your second paragraph null for the moment.

He is not the only one. Some Dems are calculating that the surge will work out, and they don't want to be on the wrong side. However, the Dem's have been so negative for so long, they should keep it up and it will not matter if the surge works, the American people will not think that it is working

I doubt it.....even most "Reps" realize this is the biggest military failure of this nation's existence. It's a question of balancing the demands of the few hawks left and searching for some way to spin the whole mess without coming off as a "surrender monkey" to their knuckle-dragging constitutents.

all evidence says you are wrong.
Again, hash the liberal can simply SAY something, but facts prove it wrong.

And do you notice how happy Hash is in reporting military failure...

"all evidence says you are wrong."

No such evidence exists, except the fabricated fever dreams of interlopers like Michael Yon, who lie for a living anyway.

"Again, hash the liberal can simply SAY something, but facts prove it wrong."

Firstly, hash doesn't happen to be a liberal, and secondly, you have yet to disprove ANY SINGLE IDEA I've ever put forth on this blog.

Saying you did does not make it true.

"And do you notice how happy Hash is in reporting military failure..."

More like, I'm letting God's Perfect Will be done, and I accept the results of that.

I didn't tell this lousy government or its loser military to attack another sovereign nation unjustly.

I already wrote about this, but I guess you forgot:

So? The troops had nothing to do with the lower number of bombings and nothing that you've put forth diminishes my case in the slightest.

The war is unwinnable.

We already accomplished our main goal...get rid of saddam.
It will be 20 to 50 years before we know if we have slowed down or stopped radical Islam from destroying the West. With liberal loser attiudes like yours Hash, we should all just go get a Koran and pray to Allah.

Saddam had nothing to do with the 9/11 occurrences.

A brief article:

Yeah, the Iraqis are SO much better off. Not.

Didn't say he had anything to do with it, and neither did Bush, ever...and you can't find any speech where he did. Try and be intellectually honest for once, please.

Bush, in fact, admitted that Saddam Hussein had nothing to do with the 9/11 occurrences.

What evidence, Game? The point of the surge was supposedly to give the Iraqi government some sense of security so that they could get things done. They are NOT getting anything done, more Iraqis are dying, politicians are leaving the government, they can't get an oil-sharing law passed, and the parliament took off for the month of August.

What part of the surge is working again?

Jim,

Your post only counts if the comments are truthful, not rooted in delusions or lies. When they are lies they are treasonous in time of war which this is.

Get it?

Jim is more than capable of defending himself, but allow me to jump in. PCD should visit a law library before tossing around words like treason. A little research may keep a kook like PCD from looking like an ass.

Moreover, isn't it odd that PCD doesn't address what comments are untruthful and rooted in delusions? This tactic definitely aids your credibility....

Sorry, pal, it's gonna take a lot more than a little research to do that.
