Bush to order new crackdown on U.S. border

I'm sorry, but I can not be happy about this story.
Why is there another "new" plan.
What happened to the old "new" plan to crackdown on illegals?
The sad thing is you have to take what you get from Bush because the other side is much, much worse. It would be nice if someone in charge was actually serious at stopping the deterioration of our social welfare system, our health care system and schools.

By what rationale could you actually believe this? What history or evidence do you have that Democrats could be any worse? Just what would the Democrats do that would be worse. Not what you imagine, but what you rationally could demonstrate what they would do.

They fight having a wall. All over the country local Dems fight any bill that would make it harder on illegals. That is what I mean. Conservatives are happy dong little to secure the boarder, and some to try hard. Almost all Dems are against any practical measure that stops illegals.

No, I think that Democrats oppose knee-jerk, reactionary measures to the problem. Most think a wall will not be effective considering the amount of money and effort it would take to build and patrol it. Most think that better enforcement of existing laws would be much more cost effective.

One of the problems here is this is a government issue, and currently the government is being run by people who don't believe in government. What a paradox! If the justice and immigration spent more money on actually enforcing the laws on employers, etc. and less on bogus election fraud issues and medicinal pot users, they might be able to pay attention and put resources towards enforcing the law.

Enforcing the law will reduce all illegal immigration. Building a wall is just an attempt to keep Mexicans out.

Thank you, Jim.

This simple fact needs to be stated clearly, and frequently, before we even approach the 2008 elections seriously.

They do not believe in government, and they do not believe in law. Now, what difference is there between turning what's left of the American government over to the do-ragged anarchists at every parade, or to the neocons? Again?

In chaos, they can STEAL.
