Wisconsin State Fair Day 6: Tuesday August 7th

Miller Mainstage Review:
There was no one having as good a time as Lonestar was Tuesday night at the Miller Mainstage. They asked for, and received, cheese curds and cream puffs. They signed a cowboy hat for St. Jude, they took a fans camera and took pictures all over the stage. If you like country music and having a good time, you should have been at the Miller Main Stage at the Wisconsin State Fair tonight. To start off the show he talked about how he loved cheese curds. I think 5 or 6 orders came running up to the stage. I took the first two backstage and put them on the back of the stage. Later two more orders made it up to the front of the stage. I was worried someone would either not see them or step on them (backstage), so I went up there and the band, manager and Fairest of the Fairs were right there. I told them that I had order after order of cheese curds, what should I do with them. They ate the two orders in my hand in about 10 seconds. One of the guys said, "This must be good for you." They had a little girl come up on the stage and help sing the second song. She was backstage before the show and the band members were talking to her for a good 40 minutes, mostly the lead singer. She has had 12 surgeries including radiation therapy to try and get rid of a brain tumor. She was such a cute and smart little girl. How many bands would spend over a half an hour, right before their show, to talk to her? I guess the lead singer emails her back and forth. They really were nice guys and wanted to have fun. They invited the Fairest of the Fair on the Stage, she even did some "work" when she ran on to take instruments from the band members near the end of the show. They had a good time, and how could the 4,100 fans not have had a good time as well. They had hit after hit. Amazed, I'm Already There, Mr. Mom, What about you, No News, Lets be us again, My Front Porch lookin' in, Not a day goes by, and You Walked In. Definitely one of the shows with the most crowd interaction and genuine fun being had by the band on stage. Lots of top ten hits (from the last 15 years, unlike some at the Fair that had their last hit in 1979). Great job, hope to see more shows with this level of entertainment at the fair.
I didn't get to see John Anderson because I was working with the Lonestar Meet and Greet.

Food Watch: Sports sticks and Super Nachos. Food was cheaper today, and I think tomorrow as well.

The show really pointed out what is good about the country music community. What Lonestar did last night and continues to do with her on a regular basis,is being done by
so many other country entertainers for so many people and charities all the time.A part of why I love country music a lot.
