Keith Olbermann Admits MSNBC Is Liberally Biased

The idea that cable network MSNBC is liberally biased is certainly no stunning revelation. However, when one of its foremost liberal hosts, Keith Olbermann, admits it on the air, that is truly something to behold.
Such actually occurred Thursday evening, and was captured for posterity by Real Clear Politics' Blake Dvorak (h/t NBer SMGalbraith, video available here courtesy Olbermann Watch with thanks to NB reader Damien G.).
To set this up, Democrat presidential candidate John Edwards bought some advertising time on MSNBC Thursday evening to respond to President Bush's address to the nation concerning Iraq. After the ad finished, Olbermann disgracefully said the following:
I don't want to be diverted by talking about commercials in the middle of the show but, Rachel, why on earth did he buy that commercial? I don't think I'm saying anything unknown to the audience, I don't think he would have gotten a hard time from this particular network. Why on earth did we do it that way?

So, in your twisted little mind, saying that he "wouldn't have gotten a hard time" (meaning we wouldn't have been biased AGAINST HIM like fox news) means that they are liberally biased?

What about the time that Gibson referred to the Republican party as "we" on Fox news?

A sensible person watched the cable news after the president's speech and saw every candidate, both Republican and Democrat, receive plenty of FREE air time. Thus, his ad buy seems a waste of money and Olberman's comments appear sensible. However, sensible people don't search for "media bias" behind every corner and revel in a false sense of persecution.

MSDNC is leftwing? Who would have guessed?

I'm in total agreement with Andy. The question is why did he buy time instead of simply appearing as a guest like any and all the candidates have and are welcome to do. And the answer is, he wanted to say his message his way without interruption or interference.

There is absolutely no liberal bias whatsoever in this. It's another loser issue.

Tucker Calrson could fart and you guys would say it proves MSNBC is liberal.

Poor MSNBC....can you imagine the amount of "Radio Belgrano"-style/Air America attacks they have to fend themselves off, from the right and the powerful neocon lobbyists and operatives?

Ironic, considering NBC's ties with General Electric, and GE;s role in the Iraqi Holocaust...
