Monday, September 10, 2007 Ad Takes Aim at Petraeus

I don't want to say this is a new low for liberals, because they have been here before.

But any American who respects the military and people that have served their entire careers for this country should be in absolute outrage over the disgusting things liberals like have been saying.

How can anyone who has any respect for this country or our military support liberals and Democrats who echo this terrible message.

There is no truth to it.

It is more made up crap from liberals who think they can simple say whatever they want and hope it turns into truth if it is said enough times.

I noticed had that same brilliant tactic of changing his name Jim does with conservative web sites. Well done.

So, a man who has served with honor for many years, a man who not one Democrat voted against, a man who did what he was asked to do is being bashed by liberals who have no honor, and only care about bashing this country and our military anyway they can.

You should be ashamed of yourselves, and what makes you even more worthless and pathetic is that you are not.

Waaaaaaahhhh!!!! The Republic noise machine strikes again!

I don't like the accusation of betrayal. I disagree with it.

However, please demonstrate that anything else in the ad is untrue.

And as usual you equate criticism of anything having to do with the military or of an individual in the military as criticism of the military as a whole. A sad and tired tactic.

The hashfanatic types are now running the show in the Democrat party. It is absolutely disgusting. These people fear Petreaus more than they fear Jihadists.

Sorry I haven't visited lately. I've been involved in yet another move. And I'm not done yet. I have had little time to be online. Nevertheless, I am back and posting semi-reguarly.

As usual, Jim is clueless to the point of being a liar defending the lies.

1. Petraeus never vetted his testimony with the White House.

2. NONE of these Democrats, especially Lantos have gone to Iraq to see things first hand over time to see what Petraeus is testifying to.

Third, the Democrats had to cut the mikes to stop the damage their "Jims" were doing to them.

Lantos told Petraeus that he wasn't believing a word Petraeus was saying simply because Petraeus didn't echo Democrat polls.

I'm sure that if people had expressed the same criticisms about Colin Powell in advance of his UN presentation in 2002, you would've attacked them in the same manner. However, Powell proved that a "distinguished" (cough..mai lai..cough) military career does not necessarily make one immune from serving as a half-truth spouting, disinformation peddling propaganda tool for the bush administration.

According to the Washington Post, Petraeus and the Pentagon are using a bizarre formula for measuring violence in the country. For example, deaths by car bombs don't count. And assassinations count only if you're shot in the back of the head—not in the front.

A comprehensive Government Accountability Office report ordered by Congress found that "average number of daily attacks against civilians have remained unchanged from February to July 2007." In August, things got worse, with civilian casualties rising according to the Associated Press and the Los Angeles Times.

More U.S. troops died every month this year compared to the same month last year.

Jim, is there any more DNC/George Soros/Think Progress propaganda you want to spew?

Man is realism a simple person. You want to compare Powell's report to the UN, a report created by the govt that he simply read, to Petraeus who was in charge of creating the report

Realism said...

It's nice to see that you're not denying that the Powell presentation was pure propaganda.

The fact that Powell's propaganda was prepared for him and Petraeus prepared his own propaganda is irrelevant to the fact that both presentations were propaganda. Anyone with the reasoning faculties of a sixth grader would be able to see that.

This is one of the more stupid things the Repubs have come up with lately...who takes am at the Military? Bush fires all the Generals who won't act like a syncophant. The right winger slam military veterans all the time. The spent the entire election last time minimizing the awarding of medals as to make them useless and even work purple bandaids at their convention. For you guys to criticize this just shows how throughly you have been duped by the hypocritical right wing spin guys are acting like you aren't too smart.
