Deomcrat controlled House as partisan as ever

Despite Democratic promises that the House Rules Committee would operate much differently in the new majority, it is as partisan as ever.

Furious with how the powerful panel has been directed this year, all four Republican members of the Rules Committee took to the floor Tuesday night to air their grievances publicly.During his speech, ranking member David Dreier (R-Calif.) lambasted Chairwoman Louise Slaughter (D-N.Y.) and Democratic leadership for failing to deliver on promises of an open, bipartisan legislative environment.“I have to say that when we look at this record over the past nine months, it is, to me, a very, very sad commentary that every single American has had their rights undermined on dealing with substantive public policy issues,” Dreier said, noting that a new website launched by the minority members would help document perceived abuses of power and procedure. While it can be argued that Tuesday’s floor speeches were just the latest in a series of public spats between the majority and the minority on the Rules Committee — where bickering has been a constant for decades — some members say that the atmosphere is sinking to new lows.

So what does this say?
It shows what happens in many aspects of politics and life. Democrats name call Republicans to the point where people believe it. In this case, Pelosi and the Dems convinced enough of the American people that the Right was the problem in Congress. It was their fault and their fault only in regards to partisanship and a lack of productivity.
So, what does this story mean?
I think it means a few things.
1. congress is partisan because of both side, but based on this story it might be more the fault of Democrats.
2. Democrats simply like to complain, it is all they are good at. When they get into power they get nothing done but revenge.
3. Democrats are hypocrites.

It took Republicans almost 10 year of getting drunk off power before they started being turds...what is the Democrats excuse?

And the American people think Dems suck at their job too...
Congress' job performance was approved by just 22 percent, continuing a gradual decline in the public's assessment since Democrats took over in January. Its lowest reading in the poll was 24 percent, recorded most recently in July.

Yeah, you liar, why don't you tell us what the approval rates for congressional democrats are compared to congressional republiecans?

I didn't write that...it came from the linked story...stupid ass.

More BS from your so called liberal media. A balanced story would've included the following information:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Congress: Republicans

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Polls listed chronologically. Data are from nationwide surveys of Americans 18 & older.

.

ABC News/Washington Post Poll. Sept. 27-30, 2007. N=1,114 adults nationwide. MoE ± 3. Fieldwork by TNS.

As you can see, approval ratings for the Democrats in congress are almost 10 percentage points higher than the Republiecans.

Craig proves it.

When it looked like he was fading into the twilight, I heard several wingnuts here whining that Democrats caught in scandal stayed, but Rethugs resigned...

Apparently, events proved otherwise.

Not to mention the fact that the Republican Party's number one "family value" is pedophilia...

The country doesn't need the Rethugs and their dysfunctional, perverted distractions from their work.

It is true, Craig seems to be the FIRST republican to stay after scandal...unless he is innocent...
Now, only 100 more Republicans caught and stay in office and they catch Democrats.

Sure he was, game.

Innocent men ALWAYS confess to crimes they didn't commit.
