PRETEND TO BE ALL THAT YOU CAN BE

link

Liberals are hopping mad because Rush Limbaugh referred to phony soldiers as "phony soldiers." They claim he was accusing all Democrats in the military of being "phony." True, all Democrats in the military are not phony soldiers, but all phony soldiers seem to be Democrats.

In addition to famous fake soldiers promoted by the anti-war crowd, like Jesse MacBeth and "Winter Soldier" Al Hubbard, even liberals with actual military experience are constantly being caught in the middle of some liberal hoax.

Speaking of which, John Kerry claimed to be a valiant, Purple Heart-deserving Vietnam veteran, who spent Christmas 1968 in Cambodia -- until he ran for president and more than 280 Swift Boat Veterans called him a liar. We've been waiting more than 20 months for Kerry to make good on his "Meet the Press" pledge to sign form 180, which would allow the military to release his records.

Then there was Bill Burkett, who gave CBS the phony National Guard documents; Scott Thomas Beauchamp, The New Republic's fantasist anti-war "Baghdad Diarist"; and Max Cleland, whose injuries were repeatedly and falsely described as a result of enemy fire.

If Democrats don't want to hear about "phony soldiers," maybe they should stop trying to edify us with these bathos-laden hoaxes.

What an amazingly lie-filled post you have wrought today, Game! Astounding!

I've listened to and read the complete transcript. Rush and his caller very obviously implied that all soldiers who spoke out against the Iraq war policy are phony soldiers.

The only "famous" fake soldiers are the ones that the right has dug up. As mentioned in a previous post here, the only place you can find mention of them is on right wing media sources full of "emotional" outrage. How can they be famous when nobody knows about them but readers of News Busters and News Max? So quit lying about that.

Kerry admitted that he was mistaken about the date of his being in Cambodia, but the fact that he was there is not in dispute. So quit lying about that.

Kerry's shipmates and official navy documents attest to Kerry's actions and decorations. So quit lying about that.

The National Guard documents you refer to have been questioned but have never been proven false. Furthermore, nobody has ever refuted the substance of the documents. Burkett may lack credibility as to these documents and events, but that doesn't make him a phony soldier. So quit lying about that.

Please site any source in which Max Cleland's injuries were repeatedly and falsely described as a result of enemy fire. Any source. So quit lying about that.

There are liars and phonies on both sides, but a soldier who criticizes Bush policies is not a phony soldier. So quit lying about that.

Well, many people are ignorant. As we all know, ABC was covering the same topic two days before Rush covered it. However, leftists think everything revolves around them, and they also think it is good to be a victim. Plus they have a guilty conscience about opposing democracy in Iraq and Afghanistan. So it isn't an accident they thought Limbaugh was referring to them.

Don't you guys have anything better to do? I thought the Dems were going to cut off funding for the war! Instead they're wasting time bad mouthing four star generals and overweight radio hosts. No wonder you guys never get anything done!

Game - You are digging yourself deeper. Well, good - keep doing this. This is why Republicans are going to lose in 2008. Common man is so tired of lies, lies and more lies in the name of patriotism and moral values.

The irony is, you guys believe this, and will vote for the Clintons!

Jason,

I know you believe in those lies. And, I don't see any signs of you waking up either!! So, keep doing the same.

I remember how any discussion on 'surge' was laughed at before November elections. I also remember how everything was going 'great' in Iraq before November elections! ;-)

So, no worries. You will have plenty of time after 08 elections!!

Jason, you seem inordinately fascinated in believing you can intuit who virtually everyone else will vote for, and who they should vote for, but you seem shockingly unconcerned about injecting some truth into your fragmented, misdirected, fully led opinions on politics and the world for yourself.

hash--

You, like ron, Jim, realism, & co. *will* vote for Clinton. This isn't rocket science. You're just pissed because you know it is true-- you want to feel unique, special, and authentic, but deep down you're just another stupid socialist drone.

"I know you believe in those lies."

Sure, George Bush is controlled by the Joooos, who are using the oil companies to enrich the Illuminati. Karl Marx and Prophet Mohammed taught us the true path, while Washington, Madison, Jefferson, and other Enlightenment figures were really freemasons in on the New World Order.

We've been waiting more than 20 months for Kerry to make good on his "Meet the Press" pledge to sign form 180, which would allow the military to release his records.

Um . . .
June 7, 2005
WASHINGTON -- Senator John F. Kerry, ending at least two years of refusal, has waived privacy restrictions and authorized the release of his full military and medical records.

The records, which the Navy Personnel Command provided to the Globe, are mostly a duplication of what Kerry released during his 2004 campaign for president, including numerous commendations from commanding officers who later criticized Kerry's Vietnam service.

The lack of any substantive new material about Kerry's military career in the documents raises the question of why Kerry refused for so long to waive privacy restrictions. An earlier release of the full record might have helped his campaign because it contains a number of reports lauding his service. Indeed, one of the first actions of the group that came to be known as Swift Boat Veterans for Truth was to call on Kerry to sign a privacy waiver and release all of his military and medical records.

But Kerry refused, even though it turned out that the records included commendations from some of the same veterans who were criticizing him.

On May 20, Kerry signed a document called Standard Form 180, authorizing the Navy to send an ''undeleted" copy of his ''complete military service record and medical record" to the Globe.

Asked why he delayed signing the form for so long, Kerry said in a written response: ''The call for me to sign a 180 form came from the same partisan operatives who were lying about my record on a daily basis on the Web and in the right-wing media. Even though the media was discrediting them, they continued to lie. I felt strongly that we shouldn't kowtow to them and their attempts to drag their lies out."

I don't know what kind of time-warp crack Ann Coulter is smoking, but she just plain lies here, Game. And this isn't even something tricky; I just typed "john kerry medical records" into the Google and I got the article above which pretty clearly states that Kerry signed that form 180 six month after the 2004 election, and more than 30 months before that Coulter column. If she can't be bothered to do even that much work--or ask her assistant to--then I think you need to reconsider how much else of hers you can trust.

I know he released some of them after the election, I still don't think he ever released ALL of them

Game! Dude! What part of "has waived privacy restrictions and authorized the release of his full military and medical records." don't you understand?

I know it's a fact that doesn't fit your world view.

Jim,

Kerry only allowed 2 news papers who are in his hip pocket on that form 180. Kerry has never signed a full and free 180 where you and I can see the same information as Bush has.

Also, you are the liar here.

Phil, shove it up yours in advance.

Hash, time to deport you to Israel to teach you how a democracy works, also to break you of your prejudice.

"Hash, time to deport you to Israel to teach you how a democracy works, also to break you of your prejudice."

Odd choice of words, considering the glory YOU were in when I broke you the other night...

PCD said...

Hash,

Israel is much more of a democracy than the Democrat party is or adheres to. In fact, hash, I've never known you not to cuddle up to a dictator or Mullah.

hashfanatic said...

There is no such party in America as the "Democrat Party", fudgie.

Perhaps your yarmulke obscured your vision?

PCD said...

Oh, hash, I'm not jewish, do not have a yarmulke, and even have Hess in my family tree.

hashfanatic said...

Now, fudgie, I don't have to give you ENGLISH lessons on top of everything else, do I?

Repeat after me, son:

"Democrat-IC Party"...

Come on, you can do it, boy...

"You are just a little blind fool, aren't you?"

You want the blindfold this time, boy?

"..even have Hess in my family tree..."

Oil companies don't count, slave.

hashfanatic said...

hahahahahaha, gotcha, boy

There is still no answer as to why all you proud young neocon patriots have not seen fit to join up and fight the dreaded "Islamofascists"??

Hmmmm....perhaps you are like Mitt's sons, who are serving their country by helping their dad get elected?

HA HA HA!!!

ROFLAO...they're serving, by HELPING!

(Don't worry, fudgie....you're automatically exempt from military service for the same reason Michael Jackson is...)

Che Hashhole,

You lose the debate every time you trot out that losing line about signing up. I don't see you signing up to fight in Darfur or Kosovo. Neither do I see you taking your sorry dupa over to the West Bank to fight your oft stated enemy, the Israelis. What's the matter? You afraid of Jews who defend themselves with more than rhetoric?
