If there was any question whether Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton’s campaign was concerned about the rise of Senator Barack Obama, here is a fresh example: A deputy campaign manager for Mrs. Clinton sent an e-mail yesterday, trying to find out about Mr. Obama’s background as a community organizer in Chicago.
First, why does Hillary need dirt on Obama. I thought Dem's were only about the issues and only evil conservatives ran negative campaigns?
Second, I thought liberals were much smarter and more educated than conservatives.
Then how could someone working for Hillary write this?

And knowing the Clintons, this is likely deliberate. The person was probably going to leave the campaign anyway, so why not falsely insinuate that Obama is a radical Muslim while leaving?
A radical Muslim he may not be, but the man has a lot of baggage.
For one, (of many), the fact that he won’t say/participate in the Pledge of Allegiance speaks volumes.
I know a few Christian Fundies that won’t do the same because “they” believe it’s “idol worship”. To which I say, let’s break it down a bit!
Let me clarify – I pledge allegiance to the flag…and to the republic for which it stands…!
If you can’t make a pledge of allegiance to “this Republic”, then I, for one don’t think you have any business running for President. I mean, how can you take the oath of office? Well, unless an “oath” means nothing to you…

Case and point, he was directly asked about "the pledge thing" on NPR last week, and could not (did not) give a straight answer.
