Clinton and McCain win

McCain Wins South Carolina Primary...
LUCK BE A LADY: Clinton Wins Nevada Caucuses...

I think it is clear now:
Hillary vs McCain...
Next President...McCain
Why?
No one likes Hillary and enough moderates will vote for McCain...plus even though McCain has problems with Conservatives on some issues, that will not be enough to get a third party conservative candidate going...

I think at this point Romney has more delegates than McCain.

Regardless, if its McCain versus the She Snake or Romney versus the She Snake, the choice is clear!

so are you happy? I wouldn't be so sure that mccain has the nomination. and i wouldn't be so sure that he'd beat clinton. mccain may get some moderates but will that compensate for the wingers who won't vote for him because of history on immigration?

good questions anon (get a damn name)...
You might be right...who knows how all these issues play out...
It all comes down to who can sell themselves the best...
I just think Hillary is who she is, and most people don't like her

I think your assessment is a pretty fair one at this juncture, Game, but I believe Blamin is right about how many delegates Romney has. And despite the irrational furvor for a despicable incompetent like Obama, most of his support is from kids who don't get their butts to the polls in big numbers. Hillary, for all her bumbling of late, is still the favorite for the lunkheaded left.

It's funny that you pick on liberals for being 'emotional'. However, all I see from you and your far-right friends over here is 'emotional outburst'.

In the past - you said - It was Hillary - then you said it was going to be Edwards. Now, it's back to Hillary.

Dude - it's only first four primaries. And, Obama has more delegates than Hillary! So, stop being soooo 'emotional' !!

as i predicted, mccain has prevailed

total rejection of thompson

it appears republicans are far more "moderate" than you realized

and, anonymous above, they would still ultimately vote for mccain because, firstly, job one for them is to keep hillary out

secondly, for republicans, party trumps country, and they would reject the Lord Himself, were the second coming to transpire, if He were to run for president as a democrat

thirdly, and most importantly, they recognize that, as awful as all of them are regarding the illegals, a mccain cabinet would be far more malleable to work with on the issue than a clinton cabinet ever would be, as the crisis worsens

What a stupid statement that has been proven false over and over and over and over again here.
When a Repubican is caught doing something wrong, every time (except Craig), he resigns because it is known that Conservatives will not vote for someone like that. It's called moral authority. Showing your statement to be crap.
Dems vote in mayors who have been convicted of many drug offenses among other things.
A few more examples:
On July 14, 1983 the House Ethics Committee concluded that Rep. Dan Crane (R-Ill.) and Rep. Gerry Studds (D-Mass.) had engaged in sexual relationships with minors, specifically 17-year-old congressional pages. In Crane's case, it was a 1980 relationship with a female page and in Studds's case, it was a 1973 relationship with a male page. Both representatives immediately pleaded guilty to the charges and the committee decided to simply reprimand the two.
However, Rep. Newt Gingrich (R-Ga.) demanded their expulsion. On July 20, 1983 the House voted for censure, the first time that censure had been imposed for sexual misconduct. Crane, who tearfully apologized for his transgression, lost his bid for reelection in 1984.
Studds, however, stood by the facts of the case and refused to apologize and even turned his back and ignored the censure being read to him. He called a press conference with the former page, in which both stated that they were consenting adults at the time of the relationship. The age of consent was and remains 17 in Washington DC. He stated that this was a private adult relationship, no laws had been broken, and therefore not the business of others to censure them for their private relationship. The people of Massachusetts agreed and he continued to be reelected until his retirement in 1996.[1]

and

Jessie Jackson has added former Chicago democratic congressman Mel Reynolds to the Rainbow/PUSH Coalition's payroll. Reynolds was among the 176 criminals excused in President Clinton's last-minute forgiveness spree. Reynolds received a commutation of his six-and-a-half-year federal sentence for 15 convictions of wire fraud, bank fraud & lies to the Federal Election Commission. He is more notorious; however, for concurrently serving five years for sleeping with an underage campaign volunteer. This is a first in American politics: An ex-congressman who had sex with a subordinate won clemency from a president who had sex with a subordinate, then was hired by a clergyman who had sex with a subordinate. His new job? Youth counselor.

i do not understand what relevance your cut and paste job has to do with my assertion that so-called conservatives will only vote for a republican presidential candidate

but we appreciate the effort

Sorry, had to clear my throat a second before making this point: McCain's wins came in states with open primaries--i.e., he won with the help of independents and crossover Democrats.

When the closed primaries start--Florida, for example--we'll see whether McCain can win among only Republicans.

The current delegate count (after Nevada & SC):

Republicans –
Romney 58
McCain 41
Huckabee 25
Thompson 10
Paul 8
Giuliani 1

Dud-duh-duh-democrats –
Comrade Obama 38
Comrade Clinton 36
Comrade Edwards 18

Next Saturday in SC is the Duh-duh-duh-demagoguecrats primary, look for Obama to increase his lead.

You’re damn right Skippy! When did that flash of obviousness penetrate your gray matter? Why would a conservative ever vote for a semi closeted socialist?

Now if a true patriot and fine citizen like Zell Miller where to run as the Dem nominee, he’d have a decent chance of getting my vote.
