The "science" is not settled...
By Bob Unruh© 2008 WorldNetDaily
More than 31,000 scientists across the U.S. – including more than 9,000 Ph.D.s in fields such as atmospheric science, climatology, Earth science, environment and dozens of other specialties – have signed a petition rejecting "global warming," the assumption that the human production of greenhouse gases is damaging Earth's climate.
"There is no convincing scientific evidence that human release of carbon dioxide, methane, or other greenhouse gases is causing or will, in the foreseeable future, cause catastrophic heating of the Earth's atmosphere and disruption of the Earth's climate," the petition states. "Moreover, there is substantial scientific evidence that increases in atmospheric carbon dioxide produce many beneficial effects upon the natural plant and animal environments of the Earth."
The Petition Project actually was launched nearly 10 years ago, when the first few thousand signatures were assembled. Then, between 1999 and 2007, the list of signatures grew gradually without any special effort or campaign.
But now, a new effort has been conducted because of an "escalation of the claims of 'consensus,' release of the movie 'An Inconvenient Truth' by Mr. Al Gore, and related events," according to officials with the project. "Mr. Gore's movie, asserting a 'consensus' and 'settled science' in agreement about human-caused global warming, conveyed the claims about human-caused global warming to ordinary movie goers and to public school children, to whom the film was widely distributed. Unfortunately, Mr. Gore's movie contains many very serious incorrect claims which no informed, honest scientist could endorse," said project spokesman and founder Art Robinson.

The global warming bandwagon has lost a wheel and is quite empty (for people with Ph.D's, for those of you are in the religion of global warming..)

For those of us that’s been following this “story” for many years, no surprise. For those that’s convinced human beings are changing the weather with their “over consumption”, I doubt this will make a difference, it doesn’t “fit the bill” don’t ya know!
Finally, I'm glad to see some qualified people being quoted instead of radio talk show hosts.
I personally think that we should let the experts find out the truth. Instead of supporting or opposing it on the party lines, we should give the 'science' a chance!
That is exactly what I have been saying all along...
The science quoted by the hard core environmentalists like algore is crap, and now we have people taking a real look at it..
It is the liberals who hold global warming as a religion that are unwilling to see reality or the truth about the issue...
Americn, welcome to the club; Sorry it took so long, for there’s been legitimate skeptics for years!
"The science quoted by the hard core environmentalists like algore is crap"
prove it. many more than 31,000 deniers believe the facts are conclusive. i guess you believe vice-president gore bought the nobel prize.
American,
There have been experts contradiction the Gore-ites all along. But the only people giving them the time of day have been the right wing talk show hosts. They weren't crapping on Gore "just because". They have been aware that opposition existed, and quite frankly, Gore insisted that there is consensus and that the debate is over. To see this is crap doesn't require expert input to refute.
I have been proving it and I'm tired of it...if you care enough and want to know the truth you will search my blog and look at the links under the posts
Well, It's also a known fact that there are enough scholars who believe in 'Global Warming'. I'm not sure how much of the opposition or support for 'Global warming' theory was due to one's party loyalty Vs actual scientific facts.
Again, I'm open minded when it comes to truth. Whether global warming exists or not, science will find out. It may take some more studies and time before we reach final conclusion.
As to the radio talk show hosts - Well, I have nothing to say about entertainers.
