Raise in taxes costs jobs

So a change in WI tax law has cost Harley-Davidson 22 million dollars. Harley said it will have to cut over 200 jobs.
You would have to think that losing 22 million dollars might costs a few jobs.
So answer me this:
Why do union workers mostly vote for Democrats, when it is Democrats that pass laws that cost them their jobs?

Oh, and we have learned that a Republican Gov has taken away over 300 jobs from Democrat Gov. Jim Doyle because it is clear the Republican Gov cares more about his constituents having jobs.

Obamanomics.

Hmmm. The fact that sales were down 12% had nothing to do with the layoffs? This article doesn't mention anything about higher taxes having anything to do with it, and you cite nothing to show that it does.

That’s exactly right Jim! Raising the cost of business on an already struggling company has absolutely nothing to do with layoffs.

Do you even have a clue; do you even acknowledge that any taxes placed on business are passed on to the consumer?

Let me explain something to you, oh simple one. Successful business entities, especially those as large as HD, are lean (unlike government). All cost of manufacturing and doing business have been analyzed, twisted, experimented with, resulting in a super efficient business model (albeit with a knowledge that most anything can be improved even if only immaterially).

The only remaining choice to a struggling business in many cases is to shut down or reduce labor cost or, God forbid, accept money from the Feds, subjecting yourself to their proven inefficient business model and micro-management.

If there were ever a watershed moment in this countries current history, it would be the government takeover of Harley Davidson!!!

Come'on, blamin, everyone knows that evil corporate greed causes layoffs. Don't give us that smartypants talk about numbers, productivity and stuff. Yer either with The People, or yer with the evil rich!

Maybe Harley needs another govt bailout like they got 30 yrs ago? That seemed to work out nicely for them.

You’re absolutely correct Jason.

I realize now that I’m merely an apologist for evil corporations. Its un-caring people like myself standing between the evil and Utopia in our lifetime.

I’m so ashamed…
