9% of state residents lack health insurance

Ya, thats a good reason to blow up the entire system...
Is even less impressive of a number after you take out people who are in-between jobs and just dont have any for a month or two(I didn't have health insurance for 8 months and 3 months when I was younger...never remember thinking the govt had to give it to me..oh wait, I'm not a leach) and young people who decide not to have any.

You will never ever get that number to zero...and really it is now..there is not one single person in this country, including illegals, that can not get care if they need it.

But lets lower everyone's standard of living so it is more "fair" for those few percent.

"blow up the entire system"

That's not an accurate description.

Even somebody out of work for "a month or two" can have a catastrophic accident or illness. I suppose they should just deal, huh?

"there is not one single person in this country, including illegals, that can not get care if they need it."

That is not true. People are denied coverage for treatments they NEED all the time for various reasons including "pre-existing conditions" and recision.

And those people who "get care if they need it" are costing YOU AND ME a lot more now in emergency rooms than they would if they got subsidized health care.

A man with a family and a high paying job discovers he has multiple sclerosis. His insurance company drops him. He can no longer work.
He runs out of cash and uses his credit cards to continue to support his family. He cannot sell his home and make any money in today's market. He is struggling to hold what he has together.

And the Republican Party loses another Republican vote. Keep telling yourself that bad things only happen to bad people and this will never happen to you because you are a good person.
