White House brass split on stimulus stats

White House advisers appearing on the Sunday talk shows gave three different estimates of how many jobs could be credited to President Obama’s Recovery Act.

The discrepancy was pointed out by a Republican official in an email to reporters noting that “Three presidential advisers on three different programs [gave] three different descriptions of the trillion-dollar stimulus bill.”

Come on..you guys have to be getting embarrassed, right?

Of course this article begins with some "republican official" talking out of their ass.

There was NEVER a trillion dollar stimulus bill. It was $787 Billion and of that $300 Billion was tax cuts, which means only $487 Billion was spending. If the Stimulus failed to create jobs (which is highly debatable), you can blame the "failure" as much on tax cuts as on spending, right?

When you add all the pork and bribes it is over a trillion...
and you would have to break down the tax cuts, who got them Jim?
If the people that pay all the taxes didnt get them then you can blame some of the obvious stimulus failure on liberal tax cuts

Why does Rush use anti semite language to describe Wall Street bankers? Doesn't this trouble you, as someone who believes everything Rush tells you?

The stimulus is a crock. SO what? Get over it. We've got bigger fish to fry.

No, when you "add all the pork" it comes to $787 Billion. Do you read real newspapers? It's $787 Billion "out the door".

The tax cuts are to small business and individuals. These are not tax REBATES. Tax cuts means lower rates or tax credits against tax liabilities which means you have to pay taxes to get cuts or credits.
