Obama to use teleprompter for Hindi speech

So let's see if anyone can help me figure this out.
If GWB was an idiot and he could do speeches without a teleprompter, what does that make Obama?
Honestly?
Is this a matter of national security?
Maybe not, but in a way it is if the leader of the free world does not have the confidence or brain power to memorize a speech...or at worst have some "cheat sheets"
I know Bush had a binder with him that he paged through, but it seemed like he only glanced at it.
Doesn't that make his just a little smarte on atleast some level?

I would love for you to show any examples of Bush delivering a prepared speech of over 2 minutes without the use of a teleprompter.

"Doesn't that make his just a little smarte on atleast some level?"

No, even if the teleprompter thing was true. Obama writes much of his own speeches. Bush did not.

It says something to not have it..
Think about how Bush brought the whole country to its feel and cheered when he stood on that rubble heap after 9-11 and made that speech..Obama couldn't have done it

Presidents give way too many speeches to not use one. Reagan invented the thing, and every president since has used it. I really don't see the point of bringing it up to say one president looks stupid or smart because of it. It is simply a tool of the modern presidency.

I agree! The mere thought of Obama rallying Americans after an attack by Islamic extremist, a term he refuses to use, is ludicrous indeed - or horse pucky, as you said.

Anonymous - There's a difference between a "tool" and a "crutch".

So was it a crutch for Ronald Reagan?
