Watch this video about looters. An MSNBC reporter was in a Wal-mart video taping everyone looting...it is just interesting to watch..
The part that is sickening, is Keith Olbermann trying to justify the situation....even the MSNBC reporter couldn't completely agree with him...
Keith Olbermann has been leading the charge blaming Bush for the problem, and saying anyone who blames people stealing TV's and 20 pairs of shoes is a heartless bastard.
Olbermann tried to get a black senator to say that the relief effort was poor because George W. Bush hates blacks....I was impressed to see the Senator reprimand Olbermann by saying this was not the time or the place for such talk

Hello Right from the Right:
I haven't read your blog for a while due to the fact that the MS Gulf Coast is one of my homes. It's where my heart is that's for sure. Although I wasn't there when Katrina hit, many friends of mine were. From day one MS has been doing a wonderful job of handling this crisis. Since I know lots about the area and the people I can defend any aguments o the contrary. Now, on the other hand, the LA gov and the New Orleans mayor are just plain incompetent. One of the newsletters I read just about every day is www.boortz.com. In there, anyone who is interested can read all about the REALITY of the the incompetence of LA officials.....GWB is definitely not to blame. Also, in that site, anyone who is interested in the truth can find out why New Orleans evacuees acted so despicably...they have a social disease. Also, Thomas Sowell and many others have contributed articles to www.townhall.com, which is another newsletter I try to read every day. Hopefully, as this poster says, when more people share their thoughts, the truth will be known.
This sort of thing, happening every day on the MS Coast is what makes me cry. I get so angry at the National media and the way they ignore MS. I get so angry at he way the Red Cross ignores MS. And it's all because MS is full of people, who although devastated, lost jobs, lost homes, lost everything....people who worked HARD to get what they have, and because they were not on welfare, they just aren't popular enough to receive much help. Here are examples of people who have waited for Red Cross to help them.....and did not...they are learning the hard way that it just isn't a worthy cause for most people to donate to if you aren't on welfare, and the wrong color, and from the wrong place. MS suffered a direct hit from Katrina. LA flooded...do you all know the difference between a flood and hurricane strength winds and storm surge????? See my other posts if you don't. The following are posts that break my heart from the www.sunherald.com (South MS newspaper) web site. They are all from different people who, either had to leave their homes in MS because their homes were leveled...nothing but a pile of boards or bricks, and are now taking refuge in Montgomery, Al, or Memphis, TN, or are trying to stay and sleep in tents, in parking lots. Yep, people in MS do that. LA people would complain the tent is too hot, they would find something to complain about. I get info about devastated people in MS all the time. What is WI doing to help these hard working people? Here area few of the posts (and there are many more like them):
1)
Today the Red Cross is not set up at Big Lots in D'Iberville. It was yesterday. People are walking long distances and there's no one there. Does anyone know where they are in D'Iberville? Thanks to all.
Here's the reply from a nice civilian in Memphis coming down just to help:
2) Hi, headed down that way tomorrow from Memphis. Can stop there and drop off some food and supplies. Where is the Big lot located? Not familiar with the area.
3)
Yes, I have heard a lot of negative things about the Red Cross lately. People here in Memphis are frustrated with them and are seeking to help individuals and families rather than donate to the Red Cross and other organizations.
4)
I totally agree with you. Please do not contribute to the Red Cross. Instead find a group or family that you can help directly. Regardless of what you hear from the media, ARC is not there now when people need them. If not for church groups coming in from everywhere, people would literally be starving now.
5)
hate to bash red cross but I have a post under SHOW ME THE MONEY. Has anyone tried to call them? I have a 8mth old and they told me they can't help since I relocated to mid-state Alabama. I see more law suits in the future for Red Cross. Check out their $80 red cross volunteer kit on their web site..funny stuff. E-mail your local tv stations and radio stations..make them account for the millions they are bringing in off these constant tv/radio spots. Try calling 1-800-help-now ,it has been so busy I can't even get in to speak with a person.
Please consider donating to www.RebuildTheCoastFund.org if you want to help MS. All of this money goes to help MS.
PS: www.RebuildTheCoastFund.org is the hurricane charity relief web site started by the best selling author John Grisham (great books!) 100% of the funds donated to this site go to help Mississippians. Thank You for listening (reading.)
how dare you for judging them...how can they go from taking anything free they can get without working hard their whole lives to all of a sudden be expected to know how to survive
