The reason the MSM is so liberal is because....they are so liberal. What do you think is going to happen when a large group of liberals get together...they will convince themselves over time that their view is just the normal, everyday view. Anything right of what they think is "fringe" or "right wing" and must be singled out. I just love this quote :
"The elephant in the newsroom is our narrowness. Too often, we wear liberalism on our sleeve and are intolerant of other lifestyles and opinions....WeÂre not very subtle about it at this paper: If you work here, you must be one of us. You must be liberal, progressive, a Democrat. IÂve been in communal gatherings in The Post, watching election returns, and have been flabbergasted to see my colleagues cheer unabashedly for the Democrats."
Washington Post "Book World" editor Marie Arana in a September 29 contribution to the PostÂs "daily in-house electronic critiques," as quoted by Post media reporter Howard Kurtz in an October 3 article.

It is not surprising that people in the "newsroom" lean towards the Democrats. But what about the editors, the publishers, the owners? You know, not the people who report, but the people who make the decisions on what gets published or aired? My guess is they tend more to Republican. What do you think?
Maybe SOME owners, but they obviously don't hire other conservates...editors still mostly liberal...publishers...don't know...
The people who go out and get the stories, the ones who write them, the ones who decide which words are put in, which labels are used, which spin is put on...are almost all liberal..
And this you know from ... ? I've seen studies about reporters being more liberal. Do you have something about editors and publishers? Or is it your intuition?
well, I know "newsrooms" are usually between 75% and 90% liberal..so I just assume that editors fit in there...not sure about publishers...
If you are talking about book publishers, they will print whatever makes them money
