Is this big brother or just a plan to keep us safe?
If you are not breaking the law, why should you care?
I care more about the fact that the government is going to try and make private business do something it can't afford or want to do.
Does anyone notice that any time a Democrat proposes something that deals with business, it causes there to be wage and job cuts.
Dems want small business to pay for health care, raise minimum wage to what...ten dollars an hour.
Raise taxes higher and higher.
Here is another issue where Dem's simply say they are on one side, but really are on the other.
Just like they help minorities, when in fact they hurt them with every piece of legislation they pass....every time a liberal adds a new regulation to business, you lose jobs....but liberals are the ones who get the credit for wanting more jobs...its the right that gets hammered for only caring about CEO's making money.
So, if businesses want to have camera's everywhere, good.
If the government wants cameras all over public property....fine.
However, can we just not attack business for one day?

Daley: Cameras will make us safer

Comrade Daley needs to go.
Ya, Jason. Daley has went a tad overboard on this. It will hurt businesses, thus employees. Too expensive for smaller businesses. And what the hey?! Not every business that is open >12 hours is in a high risk area.
But about the cameras watching, I agree with Game...it's not a problem for those who aren't doing anything wrong. No worries here.
I've been on candid cameras in hospitals since 1994. Every major metropolitan hospital has had monitoring devices in place everywhere but pt rooms, and the bathrooms for a long time. I know the guys watching the cameras in the security rooms have seen me adjusting my undergarments more than once in hallways;) But the cameras do help deter the drug addicts from wandering in off the streets, getting into the sharps containers, and looking for little bits of morphine and demerol that might have been thrown in there;)
Jason...are you MENSA by any chance? You're so bright. Geez that's disgusting.....jk. ;)
I spent Sunday in downtown Dallas and I could have used a security camera or two. I sure didn't see any cops. I was accosted twice by panhandlers.
I have no problems with public security cameras.
(Hello, Stephanie.)
Jason...
I am still laughing at your reference to Daley as "Comrade".
And I thought you were a stuffed shirt, and never 'lightened up'. Oh Gawd. Anyway. Good one. I hope you do this more often.
