Emboldened by recent additions to the Supreme Court, conservative legislators in at least five states have proposed laws to strictly limit abortion.
According to stateline.org, lawmakers in Georgia, Indiana, Ohio, South Dakota, and Tennessee are contemplating a ban on all abortions except those health situations where the life of the mother is in danger.
So, one of the Dem's big arguments will be gone. Many, like Jim, will yell about the health of the mother. Well, these bills have that in there, so now what will happen is people will not be able to murder babies.
I believe we can still talk about when in the pregnancy it goes from birth control to murder.
So, I am making a rational, legitimate argument. Ending late term abortions is a great thing. There is NO DOUBT it is murder. You can still have your lame argument that we need to keep it open for the health of the mother, which happens about .00000001% of the time....So, what is your new reason to allow people to kill babies?

Dude, saying its murder is an opinion, and not a truth. Because of that, the gov't has no business being involved.

Rhyno....the "stabbing the baby in the back of the head with a scissors" analogy, is pretty much what an abortion consists of.
And that's the legal method Rhyno.....afterward, the baby's remains are 'sucked' out with a vacumm.
If most people actually had to perform these acts themselves, they would probably vomit, then pass out.
Probably. I never said I was a fan of the act itself, but despise any interference for those who wish to, even worse. The sad thing, Steph, is that when illegal, desperate people WILL attempt to do it themselves.
I agree Rhyno. It has been a long time since this country has had to bear witness to the sorts of deaths that occurred when women got black market abortions, or attempted to do this themselves. History will repeat itself, this will occur again, unless we come up with an idea to keep women from having unprotected sex.
And many of the new forms of birth control that are coming out are not at all safe. They will lead to a host of evils, I'm sure. The worst of these are the ones in which the woman only has a menstrual cycle 3 to 4 times a year. I see cancers, and birth defects marching in by the scores. And yep, these maladies will probably affect 2nd and 3rd, etc. generation offspring of the women who used these sorts of birth control options.
I do think that abortions are overused, though. They are frequently used just for birth control.
I approve of them in certain rare instances, only.
I took a stroll down The Game's memory lane today. It's been 6 months of regular visits here for me. We really had some fun, interesting discussions. And Game's blog actually has thought provoking discussions. I have been to lots of blogs. Many of them, either to the left or the right, just make fun of the other side. (Which is fun too at times, but it shouldn't just be 'all about that'.) Game's is the best I've seen yet. Where are the blog contests!
I wonder what mike m, and some of the other guys are up to these days. It would be nice to get them back here.

Well, its hard to keep liberals here...they run on emotion and can not handle when people prove them wrong...that is why they hang out at liberal blogs where everyone says all the crazy moon bat stuff that Jim tells me is not what a liberal is...

The problem is that conservatives, who despise legal abortion, also seem to be against any sex. Instead of supporting safe sex(contraception, morning after, chemical), they back away and only seem to want abstinence. Its a dead mans folly, cuz the human race will NEVER abstain from sex.

I agree on this issue rhyno...but on this issue I am a moderate...
liberals want kids to practice puting condoms on pickles, practice oral sex in class, talk about good ways to masterbate...
Some righties want ONLY abstinence, but many want a comprehensive sex education...
PS...so far, my research says that abstinence only works the best...still working on it though...
