Hispanic groups call for moratorium on work raids

They accused the Department of Immigration and Customs Enforcement of "racial profiling," or selective enforcement against Hispanics, for arresting 1,300 workers on immigration violations in December 12 raids at meatpacking plants in six states.

"This unfortunately reminds me of when Hitler began rounding up the Jews for no reason and locking them up," Democratic Party activist Carla Vela said. "Now they're coming for the Latinos, who will they come for next?"

Everyone reading this should be STEAMING MAD. The government tries to do its job for once, and the race card comes flying out. Once again, Democrats are sticking up for people who break the law.

Its time for AMERICANS to stop being scared of the race card and get rid of people who break the law. It is not our fault they are mostly Hispanic. The fact that a certain group commits most of a certain crime means we can't arrest them?

That is what these race baiters are saying.

And comparing this to the Jews in Germany shows how these Dems know absolutely NOTHING.

That's the goofy liberals. They call people names whenever there is a disagreement.

When I was a Democrat liberals treated me like I was the most sophisticated, tolerant person in the world. I changed teams early in 2005, and when I made arguments in public, disruptive liberals called me racist, arrogant, stupid, basically all of the insults they hurl at the POTUS.

At least they didn't throw a shoe at me in the public debate I had with an open socialist on Iraq, which is something I can't say for Richard Perle in his debate with Chairman Dean.

Let them say what they want. We won't hear it for long as they are carted out of the country. I particulary like the comparison to Jews who were rounded up for no reason. HELLO!!! These people are rounded up for breaking the law!!!

I'm all for enforcing existing immigration law. But you know, you have to fund INS in order to do this. Unfortunately, too much of the potential funding is going to pay Halliburton 100 times what unemployed Iraqis could be paid for rebuilding the Iraq infrastructure. Too bad we are wasting hundreds of billions of dollars in Iraq while we continue to cut back US government agencies whose work really matters.

I agree with Marshall & Jim both here.

They were carted off for no reason???? WTF if that??? They were here ILLEGALLY for chrissake

At the same time, it's like I have been saying all along:

FIRE the current lazy-asses at border patrol, and spend money on people who are good at what they do to get these low-lives out of here. It's the only way it's going to happen, and with the way the gov't is spending right now on everything BUT our country, it ain't gonna happen that we do get them outta here.

The government needs to get a reality check in spending, and start spending its money wisely.
