To liberals, even birth control is a God given right

When does it end?
Liberals expect the government to do everything for us. It is the reason many have no sense of self-worth, responsibility or setting priorities.
So now, college students have the right to free birth control pills:

“It will mean that more college women will become pregnant in an unwanted pregnancy during their college student years,” claimed Rep. Carolyn Maloney (D-N.Y.) to CNN. “It will mean that many will have to drop out of school or face an abortion. It is a difficult situation to put college women in.”

If the govt doesn't give these kids free birth control, they will drop out of school and die. And why is an abortion a throw away term in this article? If a college kid decides to do what it takes to have a kid, they are obviously going to have an abortion?
When does it end?
I need food to live. Is the govt going to let me starve to death? And I don't want food stamps. I like scrimp and lobster. I can't work properly without that stuff. The govt should ship fresh seafood to my house atleast once a week.
And I REALLY need a hot tub. I deserve it. It is my God-given right to feel good and not have back pain. Never mind I could afford these things if I saved my money, but I like to drink and gamble. I need my money for that. The govt should be taking care of me.

See liberals, this is the type of attitude you create. It will never stop, it will never get better until enough people are sick of it. And since liberals keep creating more and more learned helplessness, govt will keep getting bigger and bigger.

Let me get this straight..
You're a hot tub going lobster that eats seafood.

There is something just not right about that.

"When does it end?"

It doesn't. Some people have an absolute sense of entitlement, and there's nothing you can do about it.

"...and there's nothing you can do about it."

Sure there is. You can stop giving them that to which they believe they are entitled. Soon they will acclimate or suffer. In order to do this, we need far fewer enablers in government.

So once again what you guys really want is for young people to stop having sex. That's always what it's all about.

You hate abortion yet you want to deny one of the best preventatives of abortion. Why? Because you don't want people to have sex.

Having an abortion is more expensive than birth control pills. Having a baby is much more expensive than birth control pills.

Again, it all comes down to trying to keep people from having sex. You'll never stop people from having sex. So do you want abortions? Because that's what you'll get more of if you don't allow birth control.

More nonsense from Jim.

What conservatives want is Personal Responsibility. It is not only the woman's problem, but should be the man's, too. You have sex outside of marriage and get pregnant, it was the 2 people enjoying their "freedom" and ignoring their responsibilities, not the fault of a stingy government.

No, what you want is personal responsibility, but only from non-conservatives.

Fudgie, we are willing to pay our fair share.

We are simply not willing to pay YOURS.

Funny, isnt it?
None of the high-and-mighty elites say that cell phone bills are forcing kids out of school. Those things are upwards of $40/month.
Funny how they can afford it, when they have to, huh? What about the latest-and-greatest tech/shoe/ipod/jeans?

How 'bout personal responsibility from everyone, hash?
Face it, the only time anyone has sex in college without freely choosing what to do was during a drunken stupor. And even THEN, people make choices (damn it).

hashfanatic said...

"How 'bout personal responsibility from everyone, hash?"

I fully agree. You should be as willing to meet your responsibilities as any progressive does.

still unreal, just ignore Hash.
Pcd, way to hit it on the head. Jim shows he does not believe in personal responsibility. People are not allowed to take care of themselves. This is not going to get better. All these young kids are being taught right now that the govt should give you everything. That way, they can save all their money on cell phone bills and $5 cups of beer at a frat party.

"All these young kids are being taught right now that the govt should give you everything."

Who's teaching them that, GAME??

Hash, pick a boogeyman, any boogeyman, and you'll have your answer.

Liberals

hashfanatic said...

Not exactly, if you're the one encharged with teaching them.

Scapegoating is fine for you, but when do you accept personal responsibility for your ideology's failures, as well as it's successes?

The Game said...

I don't believe conservatism has any failures as a philosophy. Work hard, personal responsibility, that is what I think it means to be conservative. If administrators and more educators were conservative, inner city kids would have a shot. I do the best I can, and I think I atleast put the thought in their head. The good kids who come from good homes (about 15% take to my philosophy). Problem is the other 85% hear liberal crap all day long. My 45 minutes a day is not going to change a lifetime of being told white people hate you and you should get everything from the govt because you are black.

It's pretty funny to hear Hashpipe pretend it's the progressives (you know, libs) that are the responsible ones, when the lefty philosophy has resulted in the most enabling of public policies. It's not the criminal, it's his upbringing and environment. Kids, hell, even adults, are incapable of controlling their urges. It's never the fault of the individual for being poor, it was prolly some evil greedy corporate guy. Yeah, those "progressives" are big on personal responsibility. *gag*

Moish?

Maybe if you'd get your big nose out of every other American's personal business, you'd be able to make better choices for yourself and take responsibility for yours, before judging others?

The Game said...

Once again that didn't make any sense.

MA/Game.. You dont "get it" because you understand little if anything about the human condition.
