Waggoner's like an ineffective, tenured teacher. It takes an act of Congress or presidential directive to exorcise the driftwood. I understand Bush called Waggoner to let him know he's doing a heckuva job.

Obama's plan to fix GM is asinine. The bondholders required near-perfect credit in order to receive financing through GMAC. Certainly giving away loans like candy is unwise, yet restricting financing to the point where it signifcantly impacts new car sales is a problem. Moreover, the fact that the auto taskforce has no input from the industry itself is ill-fated.

The Bush administration asked the heads of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and AIG to step down when those companies got bailout money.

Beat me to it, Jay.

Never heard that and if he did than he was wrong too...
Bush should never have given bailout money, but we are now going so crazy with taking over more and more of private companies it is getting very scary

Bush may have been the poster boy for Republicans (Like Al Gore and JF Kerry were for Dems (losers by the way)) but he strayed from the conservative ideal.

Your mindless reminding of his shortcomings has effectively distracted YOUR mindless followers. However, it has failed to distract me, Game, and anyone else who didn't graduate from your college, most public high schools, and Rachel MadNOW.

So, can we moveon.org. You have been clamoring and banging a gong about movingon.org. I have. I have gladly moved on.
