Obama Admin: Cap And Trade Could Cost Families $1,761 A Year

Just more evidence that when you have liberals in office your taxes are going to go up..and the more socialist and radical that person is, the more money they will take from you.

Usually it is to fund some failed social program that hurts minorities and the poor, but in this case it is for absolutely nothing....again, NOTHING.

The new religion of the left called global warming, and it can only be called a religion because you have to believe in global warming with blind faith, is costing you billions of dollars and who knows how many jobs.

This hurts the poor more than the rich, since raising energy costs will affect everyone somewhat equally and throwing away almost $2k a year on nothing will hurt the rich and hurt you because they will not be spending that money and creating jobs, but it will really hurt the poor. Where they going to come up with this?
Oh wait, I forgot, they wont pay it. The difference will be made up in even higher prices for those of us who do pay our bills.

You see how socialism/liberalism works? You keep beating down the people at the top to bring them closer to the people at the bottom.

When you keep beating down the people who spend lots of money, the people who pay almost all the taxes you loose jobs and eventually there is no way to squeeze the money you need out of less and less people for the more and more people that have learned that someone else is always supposed to take care of them.

I just wonder how far people are going to let Obama go before we are completely socialist. I guess if a majority of the people want things that way, then so be it.

However I do believe that if conservatives make sure people know that liberalism and socialism do not work and give the long, long, long list of examples of liberal failures then we can knock down support for Obama to a level where he cant transform this entire countries way of life

This is perhaps the most asinine post you have ever posted on this site.

that was a great post, compelling and rich.

It looks like you work for the government...that says a lot...

I guess when your anonymous you do
know alot about being asinine...

It appears you harp on the "anonymous" option when you have no other worthy contribution.

"The Game" and "Scorpion" are hardly identifiable monikers, nor do they bear any relation to the validity of a post. A post is valid regardless of the name attached to it. Harping on the "anonymous" option is a cop out.

Andy...I comment ONLY when there is
no worthy anonymous contribution...
I'll repeat this yet one more time for you...my name and picture have been here on this RIGHT ON blog since its beginning..as I told all many times already I'm not going to pinpoint it back in these archives for anyone remaining anonymous...I never need to add to the competent points of view that are RIGHT ON...I comment on the other points of view when they are no longer amusing and funny...but as seen today...asinine...I have offered to meet every person who wants to meet me and debate my views face to face... and...buy them a drink...been doing this every August since this site began...now you have the same opportunity...check out the archives...find the name and picture...then Andy ______...you can tell me when you want to let me know which "Andy" you are and when we will meet and discuss viewpoints...this name thing is getting to be old hat...MY NAME is here...my pic.is here for anyone to find...instead of talking about it ..find it...and until any of the no names meet to debate...there is really nothing else necessary to contribute that isn't already pointed out here more
than satisfactorily...

Again, you provide no worthy points of argument, no insightful perspective. You serve no purpose.

Scorpion said...

No...the laughable responses on this blog serve no purpose..are you ignoring the chance to face to face meaningful perspective..a chance to provide worthy argument
ACTUALLY rather than the less than mediocre arguments posted to this RIGHT ON blog....what serves no purpose is the blog "debate" offered...still the viewpoint will always provide good humor..tell the rest of the comics to keep it clean rather than insulting and I will not waste time responding to the ignorance and allow your views to continue to provide "no purpose"
I will just enjoy your "worthy arguments" instead of looking at absurd insults...don't see anything
worthwhile in the last post anyway..serving no purpose depends on whose point of view it is..I can always enjoy the comedy and ignorance of this "perspective" being "purposefully" brought up...

Here's some worthy arguments: Politifact.com says the $1,761 per family per year is false.

"Nowhere in the documents does the Treasury Department cite the $1,761 figure. It seems Alexander got that number from a Sept. 15, 2009, story by Declan McCullagh, a blogger who writes the "Taking Liberties" column for CBS News. (Our calls to Alexander's office were not returned.) So it's worth noting that Alexander is relying not on a study by an economist, but on an estimate from a blogger."

"We reviewed the estimate with people involved in the climate change debate who told us there are significant flaws in McCullagh's methodology."

There's more.

Jim, don't take our word for it. Take Obama's.

Consider yourself OWNED.

Thanks. Seen it, don't dispute it.

However, that doesn't equate to $1,761 a year per family. Per the article I cited:

"Recent estimates by the Congressional Budget Office and the Environmental Protection Agency are much lower — between $80 and $340 a year, depending on income."

"Consider yourself owned." NOT.
