Senators turn back ID requirement for immigrant healthcare

Okay liberals, either admit you were wrong or admit that the health care bill proposed by liberals pays for illegal immigrant health care.
Please don't tell me you are going to use the lame line that "its not in the bill"
Then why do you not have to prove you are a US citizen?
Why?

come on liberals, admit who you are

From your article:

"The bill, authored by committee Chairman Max Baucus (D-Mont.), would require applicants to verify their names, places of birth and Social Security numbers."

You have no story here. A photo ID provides no more verification than that already required in the bill.

This is just more Grassley hot air and obstructionism.

I fail to see how one more piece of documentation would be a bad thing considering the whole point of health care reform is to lower costs. Fraudulent access raises costs. Just like the proposals for picture IDs for voting, the left doesn't seem to want to really deal with fraud. This is a preventative measure, and even if we concede that this particular issue isn't a problem now, such documentation helps insure it never is. Why is that a bad idea? I don't want illegals having access to any gov't paid anything. Anything to add to their burden should they seek such access is a good thing.

The main point to which Grassley alludes, and others do as well, is that there has been nothing in these various bills that insures illegals are prevented from having access. I applaud every attempt that tries to close these holes.

Jim, as all libs are, you are totally clueless!

If an illegal steals a social security number of an Irish sounding person and he Black or Latino and does not speak English, you can say that he does not match the ID. Also, identity thieves steal children's and the elderly's social security numbers and their ages don't match the ID's.

How can you make Legal Immigrants wait 5 years for benefits and demand that they are sponsored and then give illegals an opening to use ID theft to get benefits? It's outrageous that you libs encourage everyone to break the laws!

And...what big holes they would be....what part of the definition of illegal isn't clicking...well...
most of this bill isn't..no imagination in that...

The above stipulation encourages people to break the law?! What are you smoking?!

The bill also calls on the National Health Commissioner to develop additional guidelines to prevent illegals from accessing the insurance exchange.

With voter id laws, it is well documented that there will be more eligible people turned away due to a lack of documentation than there will be fraudulent attempts averted. The same reasoning applies here.

You just can't understand it because you are blinded by your "I got mine, so F.U." mentality.

this cracks me up:
Finance Committee ranking member Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) said that current law and the healthcare bill under consideration are too lax and leave the door open to illegal immigrants defrauding the government using false or stolen identities to obtain benefits.

Yes, we are going to force them to show their "false or stolen" id. That'll show em!!!
